  1. RB Bri'onte Dunn (dismissed from team)

Agree. I think it's too early to write him off. I expect Meyer will sit down and clearly go over how he'll be used. I think we have a shot, cause at heart that kid is a Buckeye.
  2. QB/WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion, OSU HOF)

He's going to be star. Of course it hurts that he missed on a couple of those throws to Devier and Corey, but lets keep in mind these aren't 3 yard dump offs, they're 50-60 yard passes that he needs to put on the money.. while the receivers were wide open, it's not like nobody was around were he...
  3. DE Mike Vrabel (All B1G, All American, All Pro, Super Bowl Champ, HC NE Patriots)

The last LB coach (fickell) didn't get much out of those three either.. although Sweat is a solid player.. If we're gonna judge Vrabel based on 3-4 months of coaching, does he get no credit for having Shazier ready to play and play pretty damn well as true freshman? One thing to remember...
  4. '12 OH DE/LB Ifeadi Odenigbo (Northwestern Signee)

He's said in all his interviews that a new HC would knock OSU down cause he'd have to build new relationships. He's cool with Fickell and Vrabel right now. Of course both Fickell and Vrabel or at least one of them could stay on under a new coach. So maybe that would help.
  5. RB Bri'onte Dunn (dismissed from team)

I think his direct family are Ohio St. supporters. And we are not as loaded at RB as some make it sound. We don't return a proven #1 next season.
  6. RB Bri'onte Dunn (dismissed from team)

Interesting point on Shell. He was Ohio St. and UF for a long while there when Tressel and Meyer were in charge respectively.
  7. LB Ryan Shazier (All B1G, All-American, 2017 Pro Bowl)

Klein got eaten up by an Olinemen, and Johnson, as we all know, does not stop the run, so yeah he took a bad angle and got outrun. Shazier was the primary guy to screw up there.. but I feel he's getting too much flak for that play, when he was great the rest of the game
  8. LB Ryan Shazier (All B1G, All-American, 2017 Pro Bowl)

That was on him, but the safety also had a chance to stop the play 5 yards later and he also missed. Our safeties provided little to nothing in terms of run support
  9. LB Ryan Shazier (All B1G, All-American, 2017 Pro Bowl)

He was tremendous in the second half. Anybody know how many tackles he had. Seemed to be well over 10.
  10. Game Thread Penn State at tOSU, Nov 19, 3:30 ET, ABC

Thought the time management in this game was key component in why we lost. When you are losing by a TD in the fourth quarter you cannot be using the entire play clock before you run each play. Especially when you are only gaining 3-4 yard per play. I think our T.O.P in the fourth quarter...
  11. LB Ryan Shazier (All B1G, All-American, 2017 Pro Bowl)

I don't know why he isn't ready for every snap when you look at the alternatives.. Next week we'll be fine against a traditional offense, but against teams that run the spread and make the LBs run sideline to sideline, we are at a disadv. with Klein, Sabino, and Sweat.. these guys struggle to...
  12. QB/WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion, OSU HOF)

I don't recall TP having much of a grasp of the passing game his freshman year. We even had to bring Boeckman in during the bowl game when we wanted to throw because Pryor couldn't. Troy Smith never played as a true freshman so I don't see how that is a valid comparison. I agree that...
  13. OL Antonio Underwood (Official Thread)

Don't want to make a final judgement on this kid, but he looked out of place at the OT position. He's probably better suited to play on the interior but the failure in OT recruiting has led to certain guys playing out of position. Too bad he was forced into a bad spot today because it cost us...
  14. LB Ryan Shazier (All B1G, All-American, 2017 Pro Bowl)

He's a core guy to build around going forward. He should be out there 75%-80% of the time the remainder of these games. I know he plays the same spot as Sweat, but honestly, they need to reshuffle this group of LBs so Shazier and Sweat are out there together.
  15. WR Jalin Marshall (Edmonton Elks)

I think Givler said he wanted to go to his brother's football game
  16. CB Dominic Clarke (transfer to Illinois State)

#7 played a good game last night.
  17. Yahoo, Tattoos, and tOSU (1-year bowl ban, 82 scholly limit for 3 years)

Probably a good time to stop acting as if our players are on another moral level than the rest of kids around the country. They aren't.
  18. S Kurt Coleman (All B1G, All-American)

Kurt wasn't benched solely because of that play. He was benched because his overall play hasn't been strong through three weeks
  19. Dooomed to lose (1) internet on first post; who likes horses?

Waste of time to have Miller play in this offense. If you aren't capable of designing a system that will help your young QB have success, then just play the older guy and wait til the new staff can work with Braxton. I'm sorry but your freshman QB will not have success when there are no easy...
  20. S Kurt Coleman (All B1G, All-American)

You really just compare Nnamdi and Kurt Coleman? You realize there is something called a track record of performance.. Kurt has played mediocre this season and doesn't have a history in the NFL as a legit starter. He played the position okay last year due to injury and has struggled this...
