  1. '11 NJ RB Savon Huggins (Rutgers Signee)

Let's not worry about next year's class. If you have a special talent in the current class and you can get him, you take him. Warren Ball Jr. looks great, I know a lot of people like Dunn (although I'm not in love with him), but Huggins is certainly in that class of back. If you can get him...
  2. DT Joel Hale (Official Thread)

When did Hale even get a UF offer? In his interview a few days ago, he said he visited UF and was in constant contact, but they hadn't offered him yet. Did something change in the last couple days? As for us never turning a kid down who had an offer, that's selective memory. We've turned down...
  3. RB Warren Ball (transfer to Akron)

Ball runs like Ingram, not saying he's going to be that good, but I like his downhill and physical style. The last tape I saw on Dunn scared me a little bit. He looked like he added weight (which is natural) and wasn't as explosive as I previous thought.
  4. '11 FL DB Jabari Gorman (Florida Signee)

Usually doesn't work that way. Kids that grew up Canes fans aren't going to jump ship based on a regular season game. They are just as likely to want to join the Canes and help them get back to the top, then jump ship and join Ohio State.
  5. RB Warren Ball (transfer to Akron)

I haven't seen all the kids you mentioned above, but Ball is my favorite of the ones I have seen video of. I like him a lot better than Dunn.
  6. '11 IL WR DaVaris Daniels (Notre Dame Signee)

Hopefully, Dorsett and Story pick their southern teams soon, so we don't miss out on offering Daniels.
  7. '11 FL WR A.J. "Cinco" Sebastiano (Northern Illinois Signee)

I just have a hard time concluding that he's a low BCS kid after hearing about his performence at the 7 on 7. That event had the the best assortment of Florida high school players that will be assembled this year and Sebastiano was one of the five best performers at the event. I just don't see...
  8. '11 FL WR A.J. "Cinco" Sebastiano (Northern Illinois Signee)

Not really. Moreso in that he's not a big guy, he is a tremendous route runner, and has excellent hands. Seems like an ideal guy for the slot. I have no idea what role Wynn will serve at this point in time at Ohio State. He is considerably smaller than receivers we've used in the past, even if...
  9. '11 FL WR A.J. "Cinco" Sebastiano (Northern Illinois Signee)

Ideal replacement for Dane in my opinion. I would expect his offers to start piling up based on that performence at the 7 on 7. I linked some vid (someone with the power can edit and embed it if they want) Badger Sports 7-on-7 Highlights (Day 2) on Vimeo http://vimeo.com/10219517
  10. RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

The team will not go down the tubes. They already traded for Kerry Rhodes who is just as good as Rolle (both are overrated actually). Boldin's been missing chunks of games the last three seasons anyway, and when he's been out they've been just as explosive offensively. They will not miss Boldin...
  11. '11 D.C. DT Kevin McReynolds (UCLA Signee)

Just gut feeling from reading the article, but I think we'll be right there til the end in this recruitment. He really likes the program. As for DT class, I'm hoping for Bennett, McReynolds, and Williams. I don't think Harley fits the system here.
  12. '11 FL DB Johnathan Aiken (Rutgers Signee)

Really like this kid's film. Plus, going by his coaches comments he has the passion and leadership which Tressel looks for in his players. Wouldn't be surprised if his offer list really blows up down the road.
  13. '11 NJ OL/DL Angelo Mangiro (Penn State Signee)

I agree with this. Bennett and Farris are Dline recruits at this point. Bobek is a center, Mangiro and Walker are guards. We desperately need OTs in my opinion even if they think Hall can play at RT. LT is a huge need and I would like to see our staff make that their #1 priority at this point...
  14. '11 IN DT Kris Harley (Virginia Tech Signee)

Actually, it's not that big of a head scratcher. They know they could have had Harley and they choose not to offer him (at least at this point). That tells me they have questions and concerns about him. Unless you don't trust out staff's evaluations then you shouldn't have a problem with this...
  15. DL Chris Carter, Jr. (Official Thread)

Congrats to the kid. He obviously has talent for a big man, and I'd be interested to see what a college S & C program, as well as college coaching could mold him into. That being said, after only taking one Olinemen in last yrs class, I think it's important to get our money's worth this class...
  16. '11 IN OL Kiaro Holts (North Carolina Signee)

We need to revamp our camp to get more of the premiere MW kids interested. I don't know why Ohio State can't do something like Florida or USC does to the SE and West respectively. We are the premiere MW program, we should be able to get an event setup that brings in the top kids from Ohio and...
  17. Trey DePriest (former LB Alabama)

Seems way too early to put the house on anybody
  18. DB Jeremy Cash (transfer to Duke)

Looks like a much better player than a year ago (soph highlights). Much more explosive and looks like a natural safety right now. Based on those previous highlight reels, he seemed to play with LB speed. He looks and plays like a true DB right now IMO.
  19. TE Jake Stoneburner (Official Thread)

Jake actually had some solid blocks on some runs play or TP's scrambles this year. I hope he is a part of the gameplan going forward. Based on what Wisconsin did to Miami in the passing game with the TE position, I would hope our staff works Jake into that week's gameplan.
  20. '11 OH TE Ray Hamilton (Iowa Signee)

Interesting. Iowa, Stanford, and Wisconsin are three schools that really know how to use the TE position. Tells you something about this prospect that he's gotten offers from those three coaches.
