I have a hard time believing that kids that can go anywhere, would be scared away by offers to juniors. I do like the aggressive approach of offering OOS kids this early.
Since he is getting on the boards, I have a feeling he is just playing with us. If he committed to PSU, silently, and everyone knows, like we do, it would take the suspense out of his annoucement at the AA game.
Because Brown was playing the recruiting game and showing interest in a lot of schools. Boren and Smith made things clear they were only interested in a couple of schools. I don't remember Boren or Smith saying they would go to whoever showed them the most love.
H&G you are not setting us up to go premium are you. Other than Simpson (from Michigan) and Askew ( don't think we offered) who from Colerain went to scUM?
tOSU must feel like they are in pretty good shape with their top 3 OL men.
I really like that rivals bit, with stoop's ties to Ohio. I know Stoops grew up about 4 hours away in Y'town but how does that give him ties to Springfield?
If we continue to get so many early commitments it will free the coaching staff to focus hard on fewer kids and Ohio's sophomore class. Kudos to the coaching staff for working hard the last couple of years on Wells and Homan.
