My perfect expansion remains unchanged... ND for a nation-wide impact... then an eastern expansion to appease our pussycat friends and tap into the really untouched east coast football market of DC/Balt with UMD/VT/UVA... all solid academically and each having a couple of traditionally...
I had a senior capstone class with the guy, sat next to him for an entire quarter, and he was in my presentation group... trust me, it's baw-zer-man... oh, and the professor called him Joseph the entire class, which was kinda humorous... we gave him [mark may] for missing meetings for spring...
Why? IF the SEC expands, ESPN has NO reason to renegotiate... they have the conference locked in til like 2022... ESPN would actually rather the B12 stay together so they don't have to renegotiate all the deals again
I don't know why everyone is saying that the SEC can rip up the ESPN deal... they can't. It's a contract. They can ask ESPN to renegotiate, but ESPN does not have to accept. There is a clause that is quoted in contract often, but is misinterpreted. Essentially it is an out for ESPN. If the...
Don't know how many people can see this (it is a facebook video)... Reid celebrating what I assume is a TD witht he team during practice...

Do you mean Block "O"... the student cheering section/organization? If that is the case, it's been around for over 75 years... founded by Clancy Isaac (a former cheerleader and same guy who started the "O-H-I-O" cheer)... it isn;t going anywhere
You have the right idea... I think taking over the entire DC market with UVA/VT/MD would be a solid move... add in ND and you've added (nearly) all very strong academic programs with several strong athletic programs
Academically... awful
Local footprint.... awful
Geographically... awful
Possible tie-up with in-state "little brother"... awful
"Little Brother"... even more awful
HEEEEEEEEEELLLLL NOOOOOOOO
But TAMU leaving UT behind eliminates the idea that the Texas Legislature wants to keep the major Texas schools (UT, TAMU, TTU, Baylor) together... also, the SEC would have to add another school in order to have some sort of balance... if it is in the east, that is pillaging a conference yet to...
I'm a relative newbie here, but here is something I came up with...
Here is my proposal for college football alignment...
we are heading towards a split in the FBS, 4 super conferences that would dominate everything East, South, Midwest, and West... these four conferences would all host CCG's...
a good friend of mine and his brother were Jeff's and Jeremy Cash's roommates last winter and spring quarter... both great guys and hard workers... even if intro marketing wasn't their strong suit
I made a bet in high school that I could yell "O-H" absolutely anywhere and get an "I-O"... my friend first called me out in the international terminal of Dulles Airport in DC at 3 am... I got 3 responses... he asked for double or nothing when we were in an open-air taxi on St. Thomas, Virgin...
I am one of the most strict traditionalists when it comes to jerseys of any kind... but even I have to admit that those look pretty awesome.... the helmet stripe is a MUST... would like to see sleeve stripes on the undershirt and could do without it being so, erm, sparkly...
I'm hearing that...
