Game Thread Ohio State 34, Minnesota 21 (Sep. 27)

I would be hesitant as well, but only because TP and Beanie are potentially MORE explosive than either of the two duo you mentioned.BTW, those are a great couple of ball players to compare these guys to,makes for a good discussion! Based on only a few games, TP can throw, makes good...

2008 tOSU Offensive Line discussion (official thread)

A quote from the article: "I think we just needed a kick in the rear, absolutely," Boone said. "We were kind of like, 'Aw man, this is our O-line. And we've known each other, and we can just kind of play how we want to play.' And coach Tress was kind of showing us, 'No, you're going to play...

Going to my first game - Oct. 11 - Question.

Meaning around campus, most especially across from Moritz. The cold stone, barnes and noble, etc. I was really pleased with how good it looked.

2008 tOSU QB discussion (official thread)

With repect, I couldn't disagree more. Like any leadership position, QB demands that the player not only maintain his cool, but that the cool radiates off him in waves. Or to put it bluntly, confidence. Todd hasn't had confidence in awhile. He's a fine man and a GREAT Buckeye, but he's just...

    OL Michael Brewster (Official Thread)

This class is the shot in the arm we need;aggressive, fast and nasty.I was real proud of him and TP last week and can't wait to see the progression! :gobucks1:

Game Thread Ohio State 34, Minnesota 21 (Sep. 27)

Great point, look at mizzou. Great team that nearly lost focus against BUFFALO, one of the all time worst college programs. How much did we hear about that this weekend? Not much.

    2008 Football Rumblings

Thad's only 240, we could use a little more weight on DE, don't you think?

2008 tOSU Defense discussion (official thread)

I'm a big fan of two gappers. Get some huge dudes who occupy space and then let the backers fly to the ball ala the Baltimore Ravens in '00. We've had success with this in the past. In addition, there are few problems in life that can't be solved with the liberal application of ass kicking...

    QB Todd Boeckman (official thread)

I don't think he did. Todd is a fine player and a great buckeye. But he's hasn't played well in the last 3 big games. I think his turnovers and shying away from contact on some of the hits just hastened Tress's decision.

Game Thread Ohio State 6, Penn State 13 (Oct. 25)

Is Penn State legit? After seeing them pound Oregon State and then pound on everyone else they've faced, I think Penn State is a major threat this year. Granted they've not played anyone really, but they seem to have implemented the "spread hd" pretty well and quickly coming out of the...

    Overall Thoughts on team/coaching situations/defense/offense/etc.

Agree with the cushions, giving such a cushion to prevent the quick strike/big play just leaves us open on the underneath routes and those kill us. I agree that we've regressed somewhat on both ends of the game and that is worrisome. Our biggest problem is the dline. Absolutely no penetration...

Do you have a second favorite team?

Do I have to have one? If forced, I'd say Mizzou as I was born there. But in general, there are programs I respect instead of follow, like Nebraska.

Did we really get "killed?" (a complete evaluation of our let-downs, 1st half 21-3)

Mick, I hear you and agree on some of your points. However, I think you don't give enough time to discussing the fact that we were outcoached again. We definitely have the athletes to play with USC and other top flight competition. Where the road parts is in terms of what the coaches have...
