I really disliked last season as well, and thought about giving up on the series, but thoroughly enjoyed Redemption. I have no idea if this season is going to be like lasts, but I will certainly give it a chance because of Redemption.
I am a fan of Will Ferrell's Bad Doctor skits.

There is also this skit I only saw once, where it was Farley, Sandler, Spade and some others at a zoo and they were all jumping into a pit with lions or tigers. The skit itself was incredibly stupid...

The same could be said about McNulty and Freamon. Usually in crime dramas, the cops get the bad guys in the end. Not in Simon's reality though. In Simon's reality the cops turn out to be the antiheroes...
I miss it too. I still think season 3 was my favorite although the last two were phenomenal as well. I have been trying to fill the void left by The Wire with Mad Men, but it just is not the same.
This scene makes me laugh every time I watch it.

Another classic Airplane! scene.
YouTube - Joey, do you like movies about gladiators?
Leach isn't going anywhere. He is just badshit crazy enough to stay in West Texas.

I agree that Troy will shine when he gets his shot. But, I wouldn't dog Kordell too much. I wouldn't call him great, or even good, but he had a couple solid years and led the Steelers to two AFC title games. He is also second all-time in rushing TDs for a QB, trailing only Steve Young.
