Nuts! I was more anticipating how he would do this year than any of the other stellar class of frosh. I guess we have some tackle depth, but I really expected him to play a lot based on his Army AA game performance and the expressed opinion of lots of folks.
Go Bucks!
It's obvious that Coach Daniels has played a big role in the development of our QBs such as Troy and others. His expertise is needed for helping TP get off to the right start. His rapid and full recovery is devoutly to be wished, for his own sake and for the program's.
Go Bucks!
"Although strong may be thy rivals, they cannot withstand our might, for we all shall be defenders, of the Crimson and the White."
Does anybody see any Crimson and White in that picture? Back in the '50s and '60s the BB, and FB team, for that matter wore beautiful Crimson and White unis...
Wahoo from a proud alumnus, class of '57. Wildcat's rule! (We didn't really say "wahoo" back in those days, that was from 20+ plus years earlier :D )
Go Bucks!
It's fun to read about the Nerk Wildcats, my alma mater, reaching the final four this week. I assume Division 1 is the largest of the state divisions (?).
Back in my day in the '50s they played in what was called the Central Ohio League, which included Zanesville, Cambridge, Marietta...
This young man sounds like yet another "nail in the coffin" of many teams as represented by this incoming class. I think we may be surprised at how quickly several of them see significant playing time this fall. I can hardly wait.
Go Bucks!
It seemed JT chose his words about LW playing very carefully. There are still 8 days and I don't know how many practices for him to get up to playing speed sufficient to play some reps if not a lot. I hope so. With Rose out, I think depth at DE is going to be a factor in this game. Gibson and...
Wasn't it Brewster that just had shoulder surgery. If that is correct, he is not going to be playing in the AA game, and I doubt he would room with any of the active players. Correct?
Go Bucks!
After seeing clips of that injury, I am pleasantly surprised that Tress thinks he is not going to "miss a beat." Normally it is one thing to suppose a player is going to be able to play a week later, but it is often another thing for him to get back up to true speed. I sure hope Tress is right...
On the one hand we cannot help but admire a young man wanting to play and to contribute. Lots of them get frustrated when someone else gets more playing time. Obviously, up to a point, that frustration can be a positive motivator to work harder, do better.
But walking off the field during...
This morning's Women's World Cup semifinal from China was a shocker for the US team. They have been mostly dominant for the last decade, with only an occasional, close loss. Today Brazil, a team who the US beat in a friendly match in the US in June, clobbered our ladies 4-0. Unheard of. Really...
I posted this earlier today on another forum, so rather than recompose it, I'm including it here, FWIW:
Look, he violated a statute, albeit at the misdemeanor level. It is at that level for a reason. He did not beat or rob anyone, steal their money or livlihood, slander or libel anyone...
I think I saw a DDNews article this morning that said he hurt himself "during" the WA game, and then reinjured it Tuesday in practice. According to his Mother, quoted in the article, the medical staff told her 3-4 weeks. Already injuries are beginning rear their ugly head, and we can only hope...
Katie was an integral cog in the Shock's run toward a second title in a row this year. They fell short, but for the most part Katie played more minutes for the season than any other Shock player. Her value at age 33 was in leadership, very good point guard play and excellent defense. One wishes...
Hey, I'm still grumpy about how my 3 pages of consecutive high scores on Hexxagon was overcome by some abberation where somebody did one and jumped to the championship. I'm an old guy, and I don't have the stamina to go back and figure out how I beat the darn thing the first 75 times or so. In...
I was born with spina bifida, just before the outbreak of WW2 in Europe. Operated on in the late 30s, I was lucky. I was not confined to a wheelchair or worse as were/are many more unfortunate. However, one of the effects was a huge sensory deficit in parts of both legs and elsewhere in my lower...
Well, now you've forced me into a little history. I've always been on the, errr., plump side. But in the late '70s in C'Bus I lived at the Continent up next to Worthington. Greatest apartment complex in the history of the world. Had a second/third story apartment looking out on the theaters and...
Shoot, I went to my first OSU game 60 yrs ago this season. I discovered, enjoyed, discarded and largely forgot porn during that period. Now it is just a distant and useless memory. :wink2:
Go Bucks!
Back up, thank goodness.
I see the Arcade is back up today, and a massive sigh of relief echos through my apartment here in Vegas, from which I have not left except to go to a doctor's appt., dentist, etc. for coming up on 20 months. So, you can imagine that when one's choice is TV, computer...
