As I said in my above post, I don't for a minute believe that since Carroll has cleared Wright, he's automatically innocent. I don't know Carroll personally and therefore I can't judge his moral stature. All I'm saying is that these things are almost always more nuanced than they first appear...
If it comes out the Wright was absolutely guilty of what he was charged of and that there was no reason to believe his side of the story, I will be very, very disappointed with Carroll, believe you me. Until then, however, I'll try to mirror the US Justice system and treat Wright as innocent...
I totally agree! When a DA charges someone, that person is absolutely GUILTY!

Seriously guys, can we let this play out before throwing out damning accusations? Please?
I think Tressel is an honest, upstanding guy. He has never struck me as sleazy or underhanded. If he comes out and tells the media Beanie won't play, I believe him. The guy just doesn't seem to be the type to lie to the fans and the media to gain a minimal tactical advantage.
First of all, let's not jump to conclusions. Anyone remember the Sanchez rape allegations? Did those turn out to be true? Let's wait for this thing to unfold.
Secondly, I won't get into a debate about SC's institutional control but I will say that Carroll cares alot about the image of the...
I hate the Register with a passion. What a rag.
What bothers me the most though is that both the Register and the LA time just PUMP OUT the bulletin board material and give enough reason for the rest of the country to think SC and its fans are overconfident going into every single game.
I...
McGill and we won. Sloppy game though, like all college games in Canada are. Theyre alot of fun to watch though. Three down football is like a trashy action flick--I won't admit that I like it but the fact remains I sort of do.
Hey everyone.
Just got back from watching my school play (Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. Three down football, baby!) to find out that Beanie Wells would be out tomorrow. I feel bad for him because I know he is probably dying to play. I hope he gets better soon and the Buckeyes can...
Wooden was good at having his players take care of business in the regular season then turn it up a couple levels in the tournament. That is what made his teams special and allowed all those crazy win streaks to be established. That and the fact that he had Lew Alcindor, Bill Walton, Gail...
Absolutely. One of the fascinating and exciting things about CFB is that a team can play flawlessly one week and awful the next. Part of this is due to the fact that CFB players are kids who are for the most part still inexperienced and prone to mistakes or emotional letdowns. I love this aspect...
I think another thing to point as is that as the elder Bowden pointed out, you need to be able to get your team prepared to win every game, not just the ones they are fired up about. That is why John Wooden was such a great coach because his teams would win the big games with fire and the run of...
I was just reading an article by Terry Bowden on Rivals and he cites an interesting conversation he had with his father several years ago about gameday preparation, which allegedly went like this:
"Remember this, Terry, no matter how hard you try, you are not going to be able to get your kids...
I think alot of the game will come down to turnover differential and where exactly the turnovers occur. We often say "turnovers will be the difference" but there is a big difference between turning the ball over 5 times to once for the other team and turning it over four of those times in your...
Interesting take. I haven't seen Boeckman rock the pump fake that often in the past but if he gets some adequate protection in the pocket and gets his receivers to do some double moves he may be in business. One thing though is that the USC DBs aren't really cover corners so they don't have the...
Thanks for all the kind words guys! Buckeyeplanet is a great place for CVB fans like myself and the hospitality shown to me as a fan of an opposing team has been tremendous.
As I've said before, in 2006 OSU was unprepared. In 2007 they were overmatched. As long as they learned their lessons there is nothing that leads me to believe that 2008 will be a repeat of their two past performances in big games. Tres can coach and he's got good players. I'm hoping for a SC...
"So it's picture day on Thursday down at the Register. I'm thinking of going with something a little more formal than usual...maybe something with a collar. Yeah, that'll be nice..."
