Yes he’s LB coach in title, but his GA’s do most of the teaching. Koy McFarland, who went to Tulsa with Kevin Wilson as full time LB coach, was the guy teaching them last year.
I had to double check to make sure I was watching the right tape. The majority of his reps were carrying the ball and he looked like a legit RB prospect at first. He’s not 270 at all, but he’s athletic as heck and looks like he would be a good addition if there’s a chance.
I hate how jaded recruiting has made all of us.
He used “management” as kind of like a bulletin. Like a sign on a business that is tagged “management” or “mgmt.” It wasn’t him announcing or indicating that the kid has a manager.
It makes all the sense in the world to play with multiple TEs or a FB while breaking in two new offensive tackles. I do expect that to decrease after the bye week though.
Yeah I know you attended Hoban and love it still. My younger cousin was played with him at Hoban and they became basically best friends. Chip is a regular at our family functions.

How funny would it be if they were trying to tell him but he just didn’t have the headset on to hear them?

I’m not sure Johnson is a fan of the “spill and kill” defensive philosophy. It effectively takes the DL out of the play. A lot of times, the DE’s job is simply to crash inside to leave players in the second level unblocked. It’s unconventional and cuts the opportunities for plays by the DL, but...
A lot of what you said is true. I just don’t agree that “he can’t strike a balance between rushing the passer and gap responsibilities.” That’s not some complex thing to teach. Other players flash when rushing the passer. Who in the last 2 years do you feel like should’ve been a dominant pass...
