I've said this before, but nothing would make me happier than to see Bobby end up taking Bert's job at Arky after Bert muffs another year in the SEC. After this, it looks more feasible. God knows Arky isn't going to hold themselves to a higher standard than Louisville and the desperation to win...
My guess is that its the picture. At first I thought maybe there was something with Leaders/Legends and Red/Blue, but I looked up pictures from the last two games and the endzones were the colors of the schools.
I've held off on commenting in this thread because I'm not an X's and O's guy at all. However, I keep seeing recruiting misses and/or lack of talent being mentioned as one of the reasons that the defense is struggling. I don't remember there being a significant drop in any recruiting between...
Adding to that, the announcers during the Mizzou game last night were commenting on how both Mizzou and Auburn had something like one combined win in conference last year. To ESPN, it goes to show how awesome the SEC is when those two bottom feeders are all the sudden the representatives, but it...
I've had good luck with a site called seatgeek.com. It's like a kayak.com for events, and searches all other tickets sites (stubhub, ticketcity, ebay...). However, I just looked at it and for some reason its not finding stubhub's cheapest seats.
I read through the entire article and figured it was written by some no-name contributor, then scrolled up and saw it was written by Clay Travis... If that guy's coming around there might be hope.
I'm not at all trying to argue that there isn't a bias against OSU/B1G and for the SEC. My only point was that a big win over Oregon did seem to help OSU the following year until they lost, after that voters were free to do whatever they wanted and bias may have played a roll.
I did look it up what may have caused the issues you raised. Stanford beat #13 ASU 42-17 on OSU's bye week, thats what cause voters to give them a bump. It's arguable, but understandable.
Bama lost 21-35 to #19 South Carolina at South Carolina and dropped 7, while OSU lost 18-31 to #18...
Won't disagree. I'm sure people will all of the sudden remember that Oregon has struggled against a lot of good teams. It's too bad that Stanford shit the bed since everyone seemed convinced that they were legitimate. I do think that a convincing win over Oregon would go a long way in keeping...
I know ESPN gets a lot of credit for OSU getting screwed, and some of it is warranted, but I think the Pryor/Tressel situation doesn't get enough blame.
From Wikipedia, here is the poll for the season following the 2009 Rose Bowl. OSU started out as #2 and even had a solid hold on #1 until...
I made my girlfriend watch this last night after he scored his touchdown. She just started following OSU a couple of years ago (dated a scUM fan before me) and had no idea who he was.
Yep, even though I know it's ultimately a good thing for OSU and the B1G for UM to be strong, it makes football season around the office much more bearable when they suck. They were riding high the week after beating ND, and it was brutal, been pretty quiet since Akron.
Nothing to support this, but I wonder of they don't give Morris the reins next year seeing as how bad Gardner has been, and allow Gardner to move back to WR. It's probably his best chance at getting drafted and Hoke is going to need all hands on deck to save himself. If he does somehow make it...
They are officially trying to suck worse at everything. Just a month ago I had to listen to all my UM colleagues talk about how much of a buffoon they thought Gee was because of some of his comments, now they've gone and fallen off that high horse too.
