This is the most informative article I have seen:

Truth be told ... college football scholarships are a bribe. "PSSST: if you play on my team, I will fix things with the registrar so that you don't have to pay a dime."
Plain and simple.
Every coach and scholarship player should be in jail.
I am assuming this is a one or two game suspension.
Obviously, the downside is that Chase loses a chance to get another 5 sacks against Maryland, and possibly another 8 sacks against Rutgers.
But the silver lining is that it prevents him from getting injured when he is not really needed. And...
Ryan Day Bio:
1.) American football head coach, NCAA Division I
2.) Winning percentage as head coach: 100%
3.) Percentage of time College Football Playoff Committee ranked his team as number one: 100%
4.) Number of players arrested: 0
5.) Number of players convicted of crimes: 0
6.) Lives in...
My guess is that the reason playing him this year it to get him experience that he deserves, so he will be further ahead next year.
Either that or they believe they need to develop more depth this year, just in case of injuries this year
Some people out on social media seem giddy about tOSU curb stomping the badgers. But TBT, the standard for that is 59-0. Much work remains. Anything less than that is a failure. This is no time to relax.
I am preparing myself to watch the other team throw half their passes to TEs while we throw none. But yeah, the silver lining is that after 9 games of that, the TEs are open on fourth and one, third and goal, etc.
tOSU had a nice, anti-septic preseason, where Fields could learn how to be a QB and players could adapt to the new system.
However, Saturday marks the beginning of real life football. No more handouts. The honeymoon is over. If you want to eat, you better start hunting.
Definitely NOT good to play the Badgers after their embarrassing loss. Very, very, very bad timing.
And now there is no upside. The CFP folks will expect tOSU to win.
Burrow picked up an official endorsement from Trump "your quarterback does not look too bad":
Maybe Burrow likes the endorsement. Maybe he doesn't. But it is more of an endorsement than I have ever had.
I think it is possible that the link above will show a different video in a few hours...
Several years ago, I remember reading that "someone" associated with the tOSU program said that they viewed hurries as being more important than sacks. I think it may have been Vrabel.
For sure, yes, we will drop, and here is one reason why. We are tied with Georgia, who has played one less game than us. So in playing one more game, their case is strengthened, because now nobody can sit there and say "if they had to play one more game they might have lost". So all other...
