2010-2011 Lady Buckeyes Basketball (Big Ten Tournament Champions)

The ladies have come a long way from being swept by the Northwestern team that bowed out with a 25 point performance against Sparty! If I had to pick three teams I didn't want to play in the B10 Tournament, it would have been the three we beat. The ladies won it on probably the toughest draw...

    Women's 2011 Big Ten Tournament (Mar 3rd-6th)

New B10 tourney record for Jantel's 37 points. Hey coaches, want a redo on that player of the year vote?

They seem to have posted someone else's (clearly inferior) version. Back to the drawing board.

I submitted this one yesterday, but they didn't post it. :(

2010-2011 Lady Buckeyes Basketball (Big Ten Tournament Champions)

Tough draw for the women in the B10 tournament. We got the 5 seed, and the first round bye, but I think the 6 seed might actually have the easier path. We play Iowa (despite ESPN's bracket having us against Iowa State ), and then would almost certainly face MSU in the semis if we get past...

C Jantel Lavender - 4-time Big Ten Player of the Year (LA Sparks)

It was a good crowd, and she got a big, well deserved standing ovation when she was pulled at the end. Thanks Jantel for four great years!

2010-2011 Lady Buckeyes Basketball (Big Ten Tournament Champions)

Great win for the ladies last night! Yeah, our last possession was a little questionable, but great job by Amber Stokes to pressure the ball for the last ten seconds, and force MSU's guard to throw up a desperation shot. Thanks to the UM "women" losing to a bad Minnesota team yesterday, it...

How many others have competed in triathlons, marathons, etc ?

Totally agreed. I don't mean to come across as "no one should ever wear these", I just see too much "There's something new, it HAS TO be right for me!" among my friends. :) Good point, and for someone earning their living by running, they're not likely to want to take time off to make that...

How many others have competed in triathlons, marathons, etc ?

Yeah, I should have known I'd get called out on that. :p Yes, some do go barefoot, and some are obviously very good at it. I was meaning more that if modern sports science said there was a compelling reason to go barefoot, the guys who do this for a living wouldn't be wearing shoes...

How many others have competed in triathlons, marathons, etc ?

True, but you still don't see the elite African runners going barefoot in marathons. You will definitely lose some energy on impact when wearing shoes, but I would still question how much energy transfer really comes into play with modern running shoes. Until I reach a point where a few...

Not a pet peeve so much, but I enjoyed the guy on the treadmill in front of me today in jorts and low-rise Chuck Taylors. :)

2010-2011 Lady Buckeyes Basketball (Big Ten Tournament Champions)

Great to see Sarah Schulze back in the lineup for a few minutes, too! I certainly didn't expect that given the reported severity of her knee injury. If she can get back in game shape by tourney time to contribute even 15-20 minutes a game, it would be a big boost. Gutsy play by the ladies...

MSU to OSU, do I need a Sweater Vest?

Not true at all, that's just more ridiculous anti-OSU propaganda. Babies are for lunch. :chompy:

2010-2011 Lady Buckeyes Basketball (Big Ten Tournament Champions)

Make that 10-0. :banger: The ladies looked like a team on a mission tonight. Took it to #25 Penn State, and left with a 22 point win.

PG Aaron Craft (B1G 6th MOY '11, Def POY '12, Acad AA, Dolomiti En. TR - Italy)

Yes. Last ones I remember off the top of my head are Ricky Dudley and John Lumpkin in the 90's, both tight ends.
