  1. QB Joe Burrow (transfer to LSU, 2019 Heisman Winner, National Champion, Cincinnati Bengals)

So the question really boils down to: A. Winning a national championship in 2019 and missing the playoffs in 2020. or B. Making the playoff both years, losing in the semis in 2019 and losing in the finals in 2020. I could be wrong in this one, but I'd say north of 90% of Buckeye fans would...
  2. QB Joe Burrow (transfer to LSU, 2019 Heisman Winner, National Champion, Cincinnati Bengals)

I'm as big a Burrow fan as you'll find. That said, your logic is spurious at best. Haskins in 2018: 373/533 (70% completion), 4,831 yards, 50 TDs, 8 INTs Burrow in 2018: 219/379 (57.8% completion), 2,894 yards, 16 TDs, 5 INTs So I think we can all agree that Urban made the correct call in...
  3. Penn State at #13 tOSU, Wed 1/27, 7 ET on BTN

Yep. It's pretty amazing how we can't swing the ball out of that and find the open man. It's like our guys have never faced a double team in their lives.
  4. Penn State at #13 tOSU, Wed 1/27, 7 ET on BTN

Lazy, uninspired play on both ends of the floor--when OSU is on defense, PSU is getting a layup or a wide open three-pointer on each trip down, and when OSU is on offense, the Bucks just turn the ball over repeatedly.
  5. Gene Smith (Former AD, ‘10 AD of the Year, '13 NAAC Organizational Leadership Award)

His name's evidently at least being tossed around for the vacant Pac-12 commissioner post. https://www.elevenwarriors.com/skull-sessions/2021/01/120751/ohio-state-football-buckeyes-make-up-a-lot-of-the-nfl-gene-smiths-name-is-floated-as-pac-12-commissioner-and-trey
  6. Purdue at #15 Ohio State, Tues 1/19 6:30 ET on BTN

Agreed. I didn't think Sueing's defense on the last shot was that great either, notwithstanding what the BTN announcers said.
  7. Purdue at #15 Ohio State, Tues 1/19 6:30 ET on BTN

I'm also not a bit fan of just sitting back and letting the opposing team drain a game-winner on your head with like 2 seconds to play. I'd pressure the ball--maybe you get a steal, maybe a turnover, maybe the offense goes faster than it wants to, and you get the ball back a bit earlier...
  8. Purdue at #15 Ohio State, Tues 1/19 6:30 ET on BTN

No, the play you're talking about happened with just under a minute to play, when Stefanovich hit a three and (also) was wide f'n open b/c Ahrens got screened unlike I've ever seen anyone get screened. The play I'm talking about was with like 3 minutes to go, Ivey made the three b/c his man...
  9. Purdue at #15 Ohio State, Tues 1/19 6:30 ET on BTN

This is right. Purdue's *not* a good team, but even a mediocre team is going to have a massive advantage against this OSU team.
  10. Purdue at #15 Ohio State, Tues 1/19 6:30 ET on BTN

Huge play was when OSU went up 6 with just over 3 minutes to play, and Young was about a million miles from Ivey, who promptly drilled a 3 when the Bucks were about to blow the game open. Holtmann chewed Young on the sideline, and I really have no idea what he (Young) was thinking.
  11. Purdue at #15 Ohio State, Tues 1/19 6:30 ET on BTN

Yep. Can't get outscored 8-1 down the stretch in a close game. Just a horrible choke job, really on both ends of the floor.
  12. CB Shaun Wade (1st Team All American, Los Angeles Chargers)

Feel pretty bad for the guy--he went from opting out and, by all accounts, a sure-fire first round pick, to coming back to help his team win a NC, and somehow playing himself down into the third or fourth round. Hope I'm wrong here--maybe he blows up in pre-draft workouts and a team falls in...
  13. HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

Agree. He's better than 98% of the competition. Only question is whether he gets over that 2% hump that separates the elite from the VERY good.
  14. CFP Title Game, Alabama vs tOSU, Jan 11, 8:15 ET on ESPN, Miami

Yeah, he's not great and beyond that, the scheme the coaches called was putrid.
  15. HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

Love this guy, but hope he learned that to win an NC, you have to be elite--that game plan tonight? Not elite. Heisman winner had 200+ yards receiving at the half, and that's just the beginning. I think Day will be fine, but Jesus he has some wood to chop if he wants to win a title.
  16. CFP Title Game, Alabama vs tOSU, Jan 11, 8:15 ET on ESPN, Miami

Me too. And I'll wash it down with my 25th beer.
  17. CFP Title Game, Alabama vs tOSU, Jan 11, 8:15 ET on ESPN, Miami

Bet my life that dude's gotten more ass than you've ever looked at, but ok.
  18. CFP Title Game, Alabama vs tOSU, Jan 11, 8:15 ET on ESPN, Miami

Day just quit on his team and on Buckeye Nation by punting. Are you kidding me? Quitters shouldn't stay.
  19. SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

That would be hilarious, for sure. But you don't teabag the coach with whom you're signing a long term extension and then expect him to give you 100% effort a day later.
