I'll agree to that. Sounds fair enough.
You have to admit that UM did experience some major setbacks from players not panning out, either due to academics, or transfers.
All 4 star or higher...
6 of 11 in the 2005 class (1 DT)
3, arguably 4, of 11 in the 2006 class (1 LB)
3 of 7 in the 2007...
I don't remember bringing up 2008, but okay. If you don't think UM was missing talent last year, check out the 2005 recruiting class. More specifically, the top 11 or 12 rated recruits in that class. Recognize many of those names? Not too many, right? Just taking a look at one name off that...
I bet they are... Actually, I'm sure quite a few don't. The rivalry isn't the same, and that hurts the great history of the rivalry and the big ten. Unless a few other teams pick up the slack, the big ten won't have the same respect (pre 2006) that we're used to until UM and OSU are fighting for...
Very nice post Jax. I had to look twice at the username because I didn't believe you typed it. I tried to rep you, but it said I have to share the love, so I'll get you some other time.
Anyway, here's my take on the 1969 comparison. I don't really agree with it at all. You hit on a few points...
What I wrote has nothing to do with this m20 character. I was just interested in hearing about your reaction if UM were to beat OSU this year, or next, knowing how some here talk about UM. There's talking trash and being completely obnoxious to the point of being irrational/thick headed. I'm not...
I share similar sentiment about the defense. I think UM has some talented players, but they're going to need to perform. I think it's tough to judge how the defense will turn out because of these "hybrid" type positions. These guys they're recruiting are tweeners, so we'll just have to see how...
Man, this thread is hilarious. I know I can always get a good laugh when I come in here.
I've got one question for you OSU guys here in this thread:
What are you guys going to say if UM wins with the guys that RR is recruiting? I'm not saying he's going to; he wasn't my first choice, but...
Other LBs UM has offered:
Jeff Luc
Khairi Fortt
Josh Furman
Troy Gloster
Christian Jones
Aramide Olaniyan
Marcus Rush
Zach Fogerson
Andrew Carswell
Holmes Onwukaife
A few of those UM has no chance, or isn't taking right now in the case of Holmes. Also, M. Robinson will probably end up...
Yeah, I'm just trying to get some criteria here. I'm not interested in giving money away on a retarded bet. If he wants to make it interesting, I'm all ears.
The point is is that an injury can happen to anyone, anytime, regardless of a size. It'd be an interesting bet if he wanted to say 6 games.
Brandon Minor is pretty well put together and got dinged up last year and missed time. I'd be interesting in seeing some statistics of size vs. injury.
Staying healthy for an entire 12 games is extremely rare. Everyone gets dinged up from time to time. Hell, as big as Pryor is, didn't he get hurt last year? His shoulder or something? Henne was a big kid and he got hurt. Sometimes, it's as simple as a toe injury, as was the case with Beanie. I...
I'm pretty sure that 10 lbs was from not eating/throwing up/being dehydrated. That being the case, usually within a couple days to a week, you've gained that back.
I remember reading an article that said Tate got sick and lost 10 lbs either before he got to AA, or right when he got there, can't remember which. Either way, it's good that he is progressing.
I'm sure you still wouldn't believe it even if you were looking at the scale yourself. Either way, whose mouth is it supposed to come from? Would you rather JT took a trip up north to confirm this report? Is it really that hard to believe an 18-19 year old kid can put on 15 lbs in 6 months?
