Agreed. There are so many players who bust or get derailed by injury. The risk is way too high to turn down an extra million or two.

Initially, I would guess year round nice weather and a large population created an environment for QBs to develop. That led to high schools slinging it around more, which sped up development. Then, private coaches started to become a thing, and many are located there. Now, it's a self sustaining...
