I don't think you're in the minority at all really. As you said, he wasn't perfect but it was good enough to win the game. There were other breakdowns that contributed far more to the fiasco.

A football field is 53 1/3 yards across. That throw was closer to about 45 yards when you account for the width and depth of the throw.

Ehh...I think if he's winning 10+ games and above .500 against TCUN, it won't have to be unpopular because it's not going to happen.

We are years - literal years - away from any of those scenarios however. People may not like it, but if he continues to go 10-2 or 11-1 each year and gets above .500 against the cheaters up north, he's as secure as he can be. A lack of national titles isn't going to get him fired.

Stop. Sayin wasn't the issue. Throwing guys with zero game experience isn't remotely the answer and even suggesting it is silly at this point. the dude still threw for nearly 300 yards and clearly tried everything he could in the 4th quarter. Expecting perfection from college football...

I mean they could conceivably lose 2-3 games in their remaining schedule too. It's not like they weren't dominated for 53 minutes tonight.
