  • Yea, like I said, I'm fully aware that I'm being irrational. That said, I carry a special hatred around for Hart. I think it's got a lot to do with his pre-game mouthing and his post-game silence. I could even eek out a modicum of respect for him if he'd come out after we beat them and said, "I should have kept my mouth shut," or, "They're a great team," or, "Despite what I said, I have respect for them." But he escaped from sight after the losses, and then, each following season, started talking smack before The Game, which he again didn't back up. Despite the fact that I hate Michigan with a passion, I respect their tradition and their Yen to our Yang. Oh, I hate Woodson, but he was a great player and a winner and a great participant to the rivalry. Hart just never showed respect, and that bothered me.

Yea, I admit, he put up good numbers and was a fine back, but if I was a Michigan fan, I can't imagine I would ever toot his horn in any respect, given the 0-4; yet, I always hear scUM fans singing his praises. I guess I just don't get it.
It's amazing what some people think is acceptable behavior on a job site. It's worse in the industry I work in, machining/manufacturing, because I get the "omg a girl is touching a tool, lets watch the monkey" syndrome whenever I do anything. Ego, ego, ego too. Eh, I hold my own and remember that I get paid pretty darn well.
Dude at work was furious at someone else and I somehow got caught in it(mostly by just being in the same room and therefore a handy target.) His anger turned at me and at one point he told me "I can say anything to you I want, you can fuck your mother!" Any other company he would have been fired on the spot, but this little podunk company I work for doesn't like training new people.
    GVMA?

Exactly, and that's what I want to show people. Woody was just as good a man as he was a football coach. His passion runs through the veins of every true Buckeye fan. He truly embodies the program in intensity, passion, work ethic, and morality.

God I just wish I could've met him once. And gone to the University.
Thanks for the leads, I'm going to research quite a bit for this. Want to make an impression on people that have no clue about Woody. I plan on focusing more on his great deeds like all the Heisman Winners, Big Ten wins, National Championships, and community work; not so much on the punching players in the face and all.
I think so too. I'll ask the Prof if I can wear my dirty ass Woody hat. Love that thing.

You can't always pay back, but you can always pay forward.
It's a commemorative speech for my Communication 2129, my Public Speaking course.

Basically I'm paying tribute to whomever I talk about for this class. Handful of college kids.
