From his footwork to delivery sync, slow decision making and coming from an incredibly cut down offense, the kid has about as steep of a learning curve you'll find.
Should thank his Oline, running game and some yearly front office stupidity for getting him drafted as high as he was.
Talent and depth, especially along the Dline, is great. I'm going to want to see more minutes on rotation in the early and middle of the season that way those boys up front aren't gassed come November.
If Marvs talent, from his release, his hand work at the LOS, eye, shoulder and hip separation, his contested catch rate, catch radius, play structure/off script work, route leveraging, etc etc (I truly could go on and on) wasn't evident to someone watching even when the ball *didn't* go his way...
Having no familiarity with these guys, I'll ask you - does "best arm" mean just that? Arm talent? If so, especially as a freshman, then I'm taking that at face value.
Showing a great arm in camp and practice is one thing. Having quick eyes, consistently good and decisive decision making...
