  • I thought you would enjoy seeing what our fans had to say. If you find yourself with an extra $7.00, The Sporting News Draft Guide is a tasty addition to any bathroom. I don't know if it has hit the news stands yet, but look for it.
I think OT will be the really tough one. From looking at several mock drafts there may be as many as five Ots taken in the first round, all before we draft. There may be three or more LBs taken in the first round, which is unusual.

The good news is, because of the above, only one or maybe two DTs will be taken before we draft. This is also unusual, and this draft is deep with good DTs. Earlier I mentioned DT as the most crying need. Quinn Pitcock retired, and one starting tackle (Anthony McFarland) suffered a career ending injury. The other starting DT, Ed Johnson was arrested on drug charges and released from the team.

In addition to the six on your list two underclassmen, Sen'Derrik Marks(Auburn) and Gerald McCoy (Oklahoma) may declare. Please evaluate these two. If they don't make your list we will list them as seven and eight. I wonder how many of the eight, project as at least second round picks.

I think if we use two of our first three picks on DTs the Colts defense should be dramatically improved. It's much easier to play CB when the opposing QB is lying on his back. In any event, it will be your list I submit for each draft pick.

I agree with your assessment of the RB situation. Adai was good his good his rookie year, it's been down hill since. We could get a very good RB in the first 3 rounds because they don't seem to be a real hot round one commodity.

The same should hold true for OG and CB. We may end up with a great draft despite drafting so low. I hope the real colts help us out a bit with some free agents before the draft.
Very nice list, it will be submitted as is for our first round pick when the time comes. Please give some thought to what we should do in rounds two, and three. We draft very late in each round but should still be able to get a very nice player in the second. Rounds three and beyond is where it starts getting dicey.
I spent about 15 minutes looking at various mock drafts yesterday. It appears the Colts greatest need is a DT. Could you please rate in order, this years draft top 6 DTs.Bare in mind you were hired to be the brains of this operation
Go to the pro football and click on the BP 2009 mock draft thread. Also check out the last few pages of the 2008 thread to see what the finished result looks like. We managed to do all 7 rounds last year, which is kind of amazing.

If you don't get a team, or don't feel like putting in a lot of time you can be my co GM with the Colts if you like
