WR Ted Ginn, Jr. (Official Thread)

Another one that immediately comes to mind was one against Indiana (an away game). I didn't go back and watch the clip, but if memory serves me, there was one guy who was within 3 yards of him, and was 15 yards in the dust a split second later.

Absofreakinglutely.

I have never seen so many "good" angles disappear so quickly.

IIRC that was the game that Spielman called that for some reason we didn't get here. In any case before Teddy gets to our 30 yd line you hear Spielman call it a TD. One of the few times that I think we ever got to seem him at full speed.

it got called back not because of jamario oneal, but because of trevor robinson i think it was...

i know it was a fullback...number 42...or somthing close to that...

that was the week ted got big ten special teams player of the week...

his freshman year against indiana was a great play as well...

The TD return called back at Indiana in 2005 was due to a call against Trever Robinson, who was behind the play near the 25-yard line, when Teddy was already inside the 10. He did score on a punt return later in that game.

There was a punt return TD againt Iowa in the 'Shoe in 2005 that was called back for an illegal block on Jamario.

Same thing keeps happening in Miami with the blocking also. People will just never learn to quit blocking people who cant catch Teddy anyways!

In all seriousness, engaging your block is about all the gap Teddy needs to get going. The whiffs hurt but knowing you only have to get in front of your guy to let Teddy run by should make things alot easier to block. Well, at least you would think that.

Sparano speaks on Beck, Ricky
Posted on Thu, Apr. 03, 2008

Analyzed the Dolphins' newcomers Tuesday, explained why the team's changing John Beck's mechanics, said Lorenzo Booker must be utilized and raved about Ted Ginn Jr.'s development.

Sparano said Ginn Jr. has what it takes to become a legit No. 1 receiver: ``I see a guy that can run, can catch pretty well and has become a lot better from a route discipline standpoint. I see him being able to get better and better.''

Sucks that Ted Ginn Jr. got drafted by the Dolphins. They suck and don't have a good QB. Imagine what he could do on a team with a QB like New England or Indy. He would be incredible. But when you get drafted that high you usually aren't that fortunate. I do think he will be an even better returner this season since he now knows what it takes.

He should have a better year returning kicks also due to the fact that Miami has signed free agents who are good special teams players. Last year they let their best special teams players go (David Bowens, Travis Minor and Sammy Morris) .
