WR Ted Ginn, Jr. (Official Thread)

Its on espn.com's "in-motion" video thing in the college football section.

He came of as very humble and stressed that the Heisman was kind of an afterthought - if he plays his hardest and does all he can for the seniors then the Heisman voting will fall in place. But first and foremost, he plays for his team and for the seniors.

I'd say thats how its done at Ohio State. :osu:

If we have to worry about who we want to win the Heisman, I'll be a happy camper.

Yeah, wouldn't that be an awesome debate to have.

"I think Teddy's single handed beat down against Texas put him over the top, but then again, Troy was throwing him the ball, plus he once again put on an amazing preformance against scUM." Oh those would be the days. :)

I am not singling anyone out, or trying to dog someones opinion, but I would feel extremely confident that given a choice either one of them, both awards on the table would choose a ring over the heisman any day.

Domination from CNNSI

Found this on CNNSI.com:

In NCAA Football 07, what team do you consider to be the easiest team to win with, no matter your skill level?
-- Travis Turner, Geismar, La.
Wouldn't you know it, the game showed up in the mail last week the same day the semi-critical Mailbag went up. As some e-mailers have mentioned, for some reason passing is far easier than running in this year's game, with an emphasis on the elite receivers (so they can show those super-slow closeups when they catch it). Therefore, after playing with a few teams, it didn't take me long to figure out that you can pretty much dominate the computer by playing with Ohio State and throwing one bomb after another to Ted Ginn Jr.

Just like what will happen this year!

Some quotes from Teddy on media day. I'm all for the new jerseys helping him 'just get away'.

official.site

Ted Ginn, junior flanker

On the new jerseys
"They are very tight. Wind can't get through it and people can't grab you as easily with a tight jersey. You can just get away."

On his Heisman Trophy candidacy
"It's not about who is in first place or who has their name on top. It's all about the game. We are going to come in and make plays. That is the most important thing."

On this upcoming season
"I feel that I am comfortable and ready to play. We have a very capable offense, similar to any other year. We are going to play for each other and just have fun."

Is football here yet? Since it's not, I have to resort to posts like these

It could be merely a practice facemask, but Teddy appears to be using a more open facemask. Perhaps this is one way to combat the dropsies on fielding punts/kicks. He also wore this facemask during the spring game.

his old facemask

his new facemask

Less bars are good. Only gives him less in his way from finding the ball in the air and seeing everything around him. It's not like he takes a ton of helmet to helmet hits, anyway.
