WR Ted Ginn, Jr. (Official Thread)

The update did say, however, that Teddy was open for a TD every play.

That does bring me worry about our secondary, regardless of how improved he is.

No WR should be open for a TD every play, ESPECIALLY a defense that knows who to zone in one.

Well in all honesty how many times did the announcers of our games say this last year "Troy Smith if he would've looked downfield would've had an easy six because Ginn blew by his opponent" I remember hearing this very often. Maybe it was just me?? but I do know if there is one problem our secondary does not have its speed so I would say its not so much our secondary as it is Ginn just playing at another level right now. Remember Laurinitius has stated that he was impressed with how our young secondary has been talking it up and communicating.

Now of course like mentioned the first time we get busted for a long Pass I'll be wondering what the hell is wrong with us haha j/p.

Well, get ready for it, people. The defense is going to give up a few big plays, there's no way around it. They are young an inexperienced, and I see them giving up a few, but learning quick as the silver bullets already do.

However, Teddy was burning everyone he faced last year, with the exception of Tejas. I think if everyone came back who still could have some eligibilty from last year, he'd still be blistering some asses.

Even though we're gonna have some growing pains early, it will be hard for people to keep up with us.

I'm excited to see Teddy in 06.

The update also explained why he was open every play, he has harnessed his natural speed with his speration, playing in traffic(where i am most ciritcal of his wide reciver play), and improved route running. Your going to see a possesion reciver in gonzo, with the skill and knowledge of holmes, rolled up with the speed of Ginn in #7 this upcoming season.
^at least i hope

Not once were the DB's brought up, this is what makes this kinda report so big.. he's open every single play for a touchdown because of his newly acquired skill combined with his previous football talent.

If it holds true, we will have an offense more explosive than any in the history of college football(at least top 5 IMO.. and i think it will surpass the 97 OSU offense, and the 04 and 05 USC teams). A big and fundamentally good OL, Troy Smith, Ginn, Gonzo, Pittman, C Wells.. plus our second team will score on your first team defense too: Zwick, MoWells/Haw, Hall, Dukes.. truly scary stuff.

In the history of college football? Um...lets just leave it at "really good."

I truly understand your enthusiasm. Yet, let's not make a Buckeye version of the "history in the making". Let's just see how they do on the field and bask in the glory after all is said and done, shall we!
