WR Ted Ginn, Jr. (All B1G, All-American)

I think I would give the award to Ginn because OSU has gone thru something of a slump in WR over the past 6-7 years. I love Michael Jenkins, and Drew Carter turned out to be a player (but only for half a season before his unfortunate injury), but besides those guys we had to struggle thru the Rambo and Germany types out wide.

Galloway was around the same era as players like Glenn, Boston, etc. as well as good old Eddie.

So I think Ginn has to be the fastest buckeye because he's probably identical in terms of foot speed to Galloway, plus he raises the bar at OSU for pure speed to a level we have not seen for a while.

Where are the experts from ESPN now regarding OSU's recruiting?

Think about it this way:

What is going to be more valuable, being able to light up the scoreboard against Michigan, or shutting down Edwards with only one CB on him all the time?

MSU was able to light up the scoreboard last week, but couldn't shut down Edwards.

That is why I think a shutdown corner is more valuable.

But I also agree with everyone who says he may not be needed as a starter at CB with all of the talent coming in and coming back. What a luxury he is regardless.

WR and Nickel back next year maybe?
Exactly. Maybe the Dime package. Anytime we need someone shut down late in the game or at crucial moments. If he picks one off, he's gone. If he catches a punt, he's gone. If he catches a pass, he's gone. If he takes a handoff, he's gone. I'm going to sleep with a smile on my face knowing TGjr is a Buckeye.

Well that and my happy ending!!!:groove:

Bestbuck, those were my exact thoughts. Play TG full time on offense and continue to return punts. Bring him in on obvious passing downs to fact the opponents top receiver. Biatch said he wouldn't be surprised if he was in there in either of the last few games. I agree.

Cool, only 3200 more to catch you.
Are we agreed that this makes 3 of 5?

Hearing no dissent it is so noted.

Moving on...

I'm in favor of the current system. Let TGII play Offense (easier to pick up and we need WR's) until he can have more time to learn CB. After that... play him where he's needed most. At this point, that's on O. Probably will be next year, too.

Yes, bring him in (maybe make him nickel back next year?) on special downs...

BOTTOM LINE: That boy can PLAY.

Well Next year you have to look.... We'll have Holmes, Hall, Lyons, Dukes, Gonzo,Hartline, Amos, and maybe another. So if Lyons or Hall, perhaps even dukes steps up I'd love to see him on Defense. He's not too big though, so IMO I don't think we see him on defense till he's a junior.

CDog - I can't see pulling him from PR with the results he's gotten as a freshman. He's just too much of a weapon back there. Until we see him really take a beating on returns, we need to keep riding into the endzone.
