Dang Holmes is my guy, but you have to be extremely casual with the green to get booked for a small amount these days. Just speculation, but he might of been blowing while riding, or just lazily had it in plain view.

imo this will be a bigger issue in house. Tomlin really really likes Holmes. I wouldn't be suprised if he hit him with some tough love via a harsh suspension.

Nate Washington now has to be the #2 receiver? Does that mean Limas moves up to #3? Oh joy. This is going to be rough.

Anyway, Santonio should know better. He has so much talent. I figured with role models in his life like Tressel, who kept him focused, and Hines Ward, who kept him focused on and off the field, this wouldn't happen. But, it did. I just hope he can rebound. Too many great Ohio State receivers have had their careers in the NFL ruined because of silly problems and mistakes. Santonio doesn't need to join that list.

I just heard Mike Prisuta (sports reporter) on WDVE FM here in Pittsburgh & he is inactive this weekend not even allowed on the sidelines fro the game!
Not to mention NFL lowering the boom on him as well.
Prisuta was disappointed as we all are thinking his troubles were going behind him & he was maturing.

Steelers' Santonio Holmes sidelined by marijuana charge

Steelers receiver Santonio Holmes, who has been dogged by a variety of legal troubles in recent years, will not play in tomorrow's home game against the New York Giants because of his latest scrape with the law.
Pittsburgh police on Thursday afternoon pulled over Mr. Holmes' sport utility vehicle near Mellon Arena and found three marijuana-filled cigars.
Mr. Holmes told the officers that he had smoked marijuana in the vehicle the day before, according to a police affidavit.

Steelers' Holmes apologizes after missing game

PITTSBURGH (AP) ? Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes apologized Monday for being involved in a marijuana-related case that caused coach Mike Tomlin to bench him for Sunday's loss to the New York Giants.
Holmes, a 2006 first-round draft pick, was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana after a traffic stop Thursday in which city police smelled burning marijuana and found marijuana-filled cigars in his car.
Holmes' preliminary hearing before a Pittsburgh district judge is scheduled for Nov. 24.
"I would like to apologize to my teammates, the Steelers organization, my family and the fans for my actions that caused me to miss Sunday's game," Holmes said in a statement issued by the team. "I recognize that I made a mistake and understand the significance of my actions, and will not make any excuse for my behavior. I look forward to putting this behind me and being accepted by my teammates and the fans as part of this team."
