Yeah... so this is what I really don't get.
Since which season / recent game is he the best? By what measure is he the best?
Have you seen MH Jr this year? How in the world is MH Jr the second best on the team?
What am I missing?
@Captain Buckeye i'm not flaming you... i'm just reacting to something i've heard a lot this year from everywhere, while marvin harrison just goes about doing his job everybody still enthralled with a very distant memory of JSN. makes no sense to me.
I’d say the assumption JSN is best WR in country is aggressive….
That said…….I’ve never seen Day flex a TE as much as he has done for Stover. I think it’s to have a blocker on the WR screens but it’s been clumsy. I love idea of JSN coming back, and moving Cade back to a more traditional spot on the field as TE, and benefit both the pass and run game by having Cade at end of LOS rather than no TE or Mitch Rossi.
JSN can absolutely make a huge difference in our game planning. Personally, I have not liked Stover flexed out this much….I feel like it minimizes our strengths. He needs to be on the line,IMO.
If JSN can play, it moves Cade to where he should be.
As we know though, if JSN can play its a different ball game. Hoping that it has been the plan to hold him out until the playoffs. What an amazing story that would be.
The plan should have been hold him out till the penn state as soon as he soon as he got hurt if not TSUN but we tried to play him too early and kept retweaking it. Oh well knowing what we know now he probably would have been reinstered Maryland to knock off some rust for TSUNIf the plan was to "hold him out until the playoffs" it backfired spectacularly in the Shoe a week ago Saturday. Thank Utah for a second chance.
Why? He was quite literally unstoppable as a true sophomore. When healthy, he is the best WR in the nation.
This.Well, the easiest explanation is because Marvin Harrison Jr. is a better receiver…..haha.
i doubt there was a "plan".If the plan was to "hold him out until the playoffs" it backfired spectacularly in the Shoe a week ago Saturday. Thank Utah for a second chance.
Was the best. Last year.
With two future hall-of-fame receivers drawing all the opposing defenses' attention as decoys.
This.
Is the best. This year.
With no decoys.

I think you're missing my point. His 2 best games were with Wilson out, and then in the bowl game playing with 2 freshman WRs in their first starts. Even in games with those excellent WRs, he was the clear #1. He can also move around the field and is more versatile than MHJr.
I think you're missing my point.
You insist on going back to his performance last year.
I'm talking about MH being the best this year.
JSN was one of the best last year.
MH is the best this year.
Again... the key phrase here is "last year".His two best games of the year he didn't have Garrett Wilson and one of them (Rose Bowl) he didn't have Olave either. Trying to discredit what he did is like discrediting the Bama WRs from a few years ago or the LSU WRs in 2019. Olave and Wilson were certified studs...and JSN was better than both last year. Nuff said
It's totally fair... whoever plays gets a shot at being the best.JSN hasn't played this year, so it's not really a fair argument. The point is JSN would be the best if healthy this year.
