Worst Trilogy or Quadrilogy Ever?

CCI

Metal Rules
Jaws Series [First one is a classic, second was decent but the last two are pretty crappy.]

Matrix Trilogy [The first one was awesome but the last ones are just over done with f/x and lacking plot.]

Rambo Trilogy [First one was great but the last two were mediocre.] The New Rambo looks kick ass.

Terminator Trilogy [First two can be considered classics but the last one was kinda a letdown.]

Beverly Hills Cop [Really liked the first two but the last one wasn't near as good.]

Highlander Movies [First one was awesome, second one was total crappy, last two were decent.]

The Crow Movies [A first one could be considered a classic, all of the other sequels are total crap though.]

Star Wars Second Trilogy [Best one out of all of them was the last one.]IMO

Superman Original 4 [First two are really good imo and last two lack what made the first one great.]

Rush Hour's [the first 2 are pretty good. I haven't seen 3 yet so I cant call it(CCI)

Jaws 3 in 3-D was sick.

Matrix Trilogy [The first one was awesome but the last ones are just over done with f/x and lacking plot.]

Anything with Kate Moss in tight leather is a classic in my book.

Rambo Trilogy [First one was great but the last two were mediocre.] The New Rambo looks kick ass.

I would have sex with Jon Rambo if I could.

Terminator Trilogy [First two can be considered classics but the last one was kinda a letdown.]

Chyanne Mountain looks like a cool place to kick it.

Beverly Hills Cop [Really liked the first two but the last one wasn't near as good.]

Is that a banana in your tail pipe?

Highlander Movies [First one was awesome, second one was total crappy, last two were decent.]

McCloud was a pimp with a sword.

The Crow Movies [A first one could be considered a classic, all of the other sequels are total crap though.]

Agree

Star Wars Second Trilogy [Best one out of all of them was the last one.]IMO

The midi-chlorians in my blood are a good thing, right?

Superman Original 4 [First two are really good imo and last two lack what made the first one great.]

The Quest for Peace was so underrated.

Rush Hour's [the first 2 are pretty good. I haven't seen 3 yet so I cant call it(CCI)

I didn't feel like starting a new thread to discuss the best trilogies out there, but my list looks something like:

1. Godfather (#3 would have been a decent movie if it weren't compared to the first 2 which were all time classics)
2a. Indiana Jones
2aa. Bourne Trilogy (bolded because the new one is out on DVD and as cool at home as it was in the theatre)
3. Back to the Future
4. Lord of the Rings

Others...

If they ever did a Bad Boys 3, they might break my top 2.

LOTR is taken way too seriously, but that doesn't make it one of the worst trilogies ever. I think it's quite good. I also like the Matrix. Agreed that the first is easily the best, but it's still far from the worst.

Fortunately, I haven't seen many terrible trilogies. American Pie gets my vote. Whatever you call it - pentalogy?

I thought the worst set of movies is the curbside cuties set don't know how many there are but there are at least 8 of the movies. They have no real plot and the women in them fake their acting.

:lol::slappy:

Was scouring a movie list for ideas, and couldn't believe they made 5 american pies :atom:

Don't count the ones without the elder Stiffler.

The Ocean's 11-13 trilogy is pretty cool too...

Well let's see.....

Back to the Future. Started off fun, then got a whole lot of crappy quickly.

Jaws. Jaws- great. the rest, not so much.

Austin Powers.

The Blade movies

The Prophecy movies

The Saw movies

The Highlander movies. They should have taken the tag line to heart... (There can be only one)

The Omen series

The Exorcist movies. (first one great. the rest blech)

Beverly Hills Cop

Now on the flip side, there are some good/great trilogies/quadrologies....

The man with no name trilogy- (A Fistfull of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and the Good the Bad and the Ugly)

The Evil Dead trilogy

The El Mariachi Trilogy

The Naked Gun movies

The Bourne movies.

I haven't seen them, but I hear the French movies (Red, White, and Blue) are fantastic.
