Words that have escaped you

Got a fresh useless thread for ya. :p

I just faced off against several of my nemesis-words - the ones that never come out right the first time no matter how often they are used, where the correction is tied permanently to the word itself. Thought it might be interesting to see what words throw other people, too.

For typing, I've got...

accidentally (accidently)
maintenance (mantainence)
occasion (ocassion)

For speech, I still like calapitter better than caterpillar and always, always say it that way first. If they are on the ground they don't look so pillar-like, but they still pitter!

Honorable mention goes to "just" for severe overuse. I just can't help it.

YES! Maintenance is just a dumb way to spell it. You're maintaining something, not maintening it. (Although I usually go for maintainance rather than -ence)

Your spelling of excersize makes sense, but "exorcise" might also work. Unless that's taken.
