The B1G opener features the Badgers coming to Columbus. They have dropped 8 straight to the Buckeyes, their last win in the series being the 2010 game in which they returned the opening kickoff for a score in Camp Randall and never looked back against the then #1 Buckeyes.
 
Wisconsin football schedule 2022: Predictions for Badgers' win-loss record in 2022 unveiled by CBS Sports

Wisconsin started two games under the .500 mark a season ago before ripping off seven straight wins entering the final week of the 2021 campaign at Minnesota. The Badgers lost at Minnesota and missed out on a Big Ten title game appearance but defeated Arizona State in the Las Vegas Bowl. Head coach Paul Chryst, quarterback Graham Mertz and company have sizable expectations for 2022, as Caesar’s Sportsbook sets Wisconsin’s over/under win total at nine. CBS Sports’ Tom Fornelli took a look at each Big Ten team’s total and predicted where wins and losses will come.

Wisconsin has three tough road games at Iowa, Michigan State and Ohio State. Fornelli has the Badgers falling in all three, with those being their only three losses.

“I've been waiting for Wisconsin's offense to take a step forward in its passing attack with Graham Mertz for the last couple of seasons, and it hasn't come,” Fornelli wrote. “I'm not counting on it in 2022. Of course, that doesn't mean the Badgers are going to fall apart. Running the ball effectively and playing suffocating defense has worked well for a long time in Madison, and while that limits the program's ability to win the conference, it can still win the West. Road trips to Ohio State and Michigan State won't be a lot of fun, but the Badgers should be favored in every other game outside their road trip to Iowa.”

I never minded Wisconsin under Barry Alvarez. Bret Bielema was always the guy I wanted to watch fail. The guys since then haven't been bad, either.
Under Bielema (The card said to go for 2!) I wanted to see Wisconsin lose to App State. Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing that happen today, as well.

OHIO STATE TO PLAY THIRD HOME NIGHT GAME IN FOUR WEEKS AGAINST WISCONSIN

Ohio State will play three home night games in the first four weeks of the season.

The third home night game of the year was confirmed on Monday, when the Big Ten announced Ohio State’s Sept. 24 home game against Wisconsin will be a 7:30 p.m. game on ABC.

It will also be Ohio State’s third primetime game on a national broadcast network in the first month of the season. Ohio State’s season opener against Notre Dame was also a 7:30 p.m. game on ABC, while this week’s game against Toledo will kick off at 7 p.m. on FOX.

For the year as a whole, it marks only the second time Ohio State has had three home night games in the same season. The Buckeyes previously played three night games at home in 2015.

Ohio State is encouraging fans to wear black to the Wisconsin game to create a blackout environment in the Shoe, which likely means Ohio State will wear its all-black uniforms for the game. The Buckeyes previously wore the all-black uniforms in home games against Penn State in 2015, Nebraska in 2018 and Michigan State in 2019.

Wisconsin football's Paul Chryst: Badgers 'take care of business' in rout of New Mexico State

ON HOW VALUABLE THIS PERFORMANCE CAN BE AHEAD OF OHIO STATE GAME:
"Yeah, I think certainly every experience you go through you learn from. But I think every bit of today is today. We're going to be facing different teams and certainly facing a different team next week and the week after. So I think that it's good. The response, you know, last week, that part I was pleased with. And then it's all about you get a chance to play the game, and I thought guys were ready and came out and played. But you just got to keep going, keep trying to grow."

ON IF WISCONSIN IS READY FOR BIG TEN PLAY:
"Do I appreciate what guys are putting out there? Yeah. I would hope and want to believe that there is lessons that we experienced in the first three games, that if we can truly learn from them, what things allowed us to be successful, you know, and build on that. Things that make it harder, right? And the truth is, time will tell. Do we truly learn those lessons? I appreciate the way they've gone through it. We have certainly not arrived."
