Which team gets to spend the summer with Lord Stanley's Cup?

There is a new line at the bottom, just for BM80.

Sykora broke his foot by blocking a shot in game 6. Satan is the likely replacement.

I though when Sykora played he was noticable.

I'll trade you straight up, Hossa for Satan. Hell the Red Wings will even give you Hossa, $1 million in cash for Satan's skates and broken sticks. :)

I'd rather the Pens skate four guys than take Hossa back.

I heard a good quote from a Wings fan. "Hossa left his heart in Pittsburgh, and now he's dealing with the consequences." I agree with it. Hopefully he has a lot more to deal with after Friday..

Disregard that.

Apparently (from word on the street), Hossa's knee "tweak" in the chicago series is anything but and he may have either an MCL or ACL tear and need surgery after the end of the series.

this is hockey im not impressed. if you skate you play. if you cant skate you cant play or your name is mike commodore, one of the two...

Either way he needs to stop trying to get fancy with the puck and just shoot it.
simple hockey=good hockey
fancy hockey=bad hockey.

detroit has gotten away from the high traffic areas and relegated to much of their game to the outside (which a team of their skill can do more than most) but they have to play simple hockey to win. this euro pansie crap doesnt fly.

That sucks. He hides it well when he skates, then. I figured he was just trying to do too much.

I'm a little skeptical until it's proven that he has an actual injury that's not just a ding.

Like I said, it's word on the street and nothing confirmed. I DO think he's trying to do too much, but I think he's lacking that higher gear that helped him score 40 goals this year.

Agreed, but that goes for the entire damn team, not just Hossa.

This was kind of a mea culpa for me I guess. IF the guy is hurt but still trying to get it done out there, well, that's what he's supposed to do.

BTW I agree with your point about fancy hockey. When Detroit does the hard things and pays the price for a majority of the game, they haven't lost YET. the difference between games 5 and 6 prove this out.

Check out this picture from NHL.com. Looks like they're talking about Rafalski and Fedetenko when they were both in game 7s. Funny thing about this is that the second picture of Rafalski is actually a picture of Patrick Elias.

Red Wings 11-4 at home, all time, in game sevens.

Penguins 4-0 on the road, all time, in game sevens.

Gimme a pair of fives, please.

Normally I would consider this an honest mistake, but they freaking carry their sticks in different hands (shown in the damn pictures). How could someone not pick that up?

No idea. And they likely had to cut the sleeve out of the Elias picture (on the right side of the picture, Elias' left sleeve), so the number probably would've been visibly different.

I mean, they kind of look similar in the photos, but you'd think someone would catch that. You'd definitely think they'd change it by now, but it's still there.
