There is still a few weeks left to go before the NFL regular season is over and the order for the 2016 NFL Draft is finalized, but we already have a good idea on who might be picking at the top. Right now the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and San Diego Chargers all have a NFL-worst three wins so far this season. Even though nothing is set in stone, those all look like potential teams who might pick Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa, who doesn't figure to fall past one of those spots.
With a lot Buckeye fans also being Browns fans, many are hoping Bosa lands just two hours up the road from Columbus. The Browns do have a need on the defensive side of the football, especially since they have one of the worst rushing defenses in the NFL. But what might keep that pick from happening is their lack of talent at quarterback and wide receiver, which Cleveland could choose to target instead. Both Tennessee and San Diego have had defensive problems as well this year, and Bosa might be destined for Nashville since the Titans took Marcus Mariota last year with the second pick.

Even though Ohio State and Notre Dame won't be playing for a national title, at least the players will get some cool gifts for playing in the Fiesta Bowl. It could be worse, they could be playing in the New Mexico Bowl, where all they'd get is some custom cowboy boots. With most of the bowl games offering the "gift suite" option, which could include a variety of items, the bowl haul the Buckeyes and Fighting Irish will be taking away will be quite nice for a college student, even if one team has to lose the game.
For playing in a bowl game, players can receive gifts that are valued up to $550, but that's just the beginning of what they can receive. Schools can also provide their players with gifts for a bowl game, with those gifts being able to be valued up to $400. As if that wasn't enough, conferences can also add to the haul, where they can also give players gifts valued up to $400 for postseason play, which can cover both conference championship games and bowl games. For the Buckeyes, not a bad deal in combination with getting to play in one of the most anticipated bowl games of the year.
"I think it hurts Coach Meyer more because of how good of a football player Tommy is more than where he's from. I wouldn't be surprised if Tommy isn't one of the best offensive linemen in college football by the time his college football career is over."

It's not often that Urban Meyer hears no from a recruit, but that is exactly what he has been hearing all along from Cincinnati Elder offensive lineman Tommy Kraemer. In Meyer's defense it has been hard to go up against the love of Notre Dame football that has been present in the Kraemer family for years. Kraemer's grandfather was a lifelong Notre Dame fan, and Kraemer's uncle and cousin both attended the school.
Even though it won't change Kraemer's commitment, Meyer will try to get one last shot in when Ohio State plays Notre Dame on New Year's Day in the Fiesta Bowl. Even though Kraemer has been elusive for Meyer, it looks like at least one recruit is going to help Meyer continue an impressive streak. While Kraemer was the 247 Sports composite top player in Ohio at one time, now that spot is held by defensive end Jonathan Cooper of Gahanna, who is already an Ohio State commit. If the top spot went to Kraemer, it would mark the first time while Meyer had been Ohio State's head coach that the top ranked Ohio player didn't attend Ohio State.

Saturday at the Barclays Center, Ohio State and Kentucky square off in the CBS Sports Classic. Earlier this morning Kentucky head coach John Calipari was on an official teleconference call for the event and was asked about his upcoming opponent. To say the Wildcats and the Buckeyes are going through the same thing right now is quite a bit of a stretch, but in reality they are. Both teams are extremely young right now, with the big difference being Kentucky having a big advantage in size and talent.
What Calipari mentioned that has eased his problems a bit compared to Ohio State is he has Tyler Ulis to lean on as a point guard. While Ulis only averaged 5.6 points per game last year, what sets his apart from the Ohio State point guards is experience, since he was able to clock nearly 24 minutes per game as the Wildcats reached the Final Four last year. Even though Ohio State's freshmen have had some moments of strong play, they haven't quite come in and had the impact that players like Jamal Murray, Isaiah Briscoe, and Skai Labissiere have had for Kentucky, with the Widlcats jumping out to a 9-1 start. If the game against UConn last Saturday was any indication, Ohio State could be in for another long afternoon this Saturday.
