Who has the worse offense?

The San Francisco 49ers, who last I checked, didn't have a 1st down in the 1st half against Seattle

or

The Baltimore Ravens, who put up a measly 7 points against the Bengals (which game late in the game)

I think both QBs have undiagnosed myopia. Neither seems to be able to throw the ball more than 7 yards.

Haven't seen a 49's game but it would be hard to imagine a worse offense than Baltimore's. Of course thats untill you watch a ND game.

Better question is who is the most overrated offensive genius of all time Weis or BB?

Niners, unfortunately. Baltimore has weapons, just nobody to get the ball to those weapons. The Niners have Frank Gore. That's it.

The Niners are the Notre Dame of the NFL, and it kills me to say that. :(

I think the niners have some decent talent, but are stupidly conservative. They run I form or power form 80%+ of their snaps. This with a QB that excelled at shotgun spread.

Darrell Jackson is supposed to be their number one receiver, but he's done absolutely nothing for them. Arnaz Battle is their #1, I believe he had the fewest drops in the NFL last year. But Arnaz Battle should not be a number 1. :tongue2:

Vernon Davis has disappointed me at times, he has the tools to be a Kellen Winslow Jr.-ish tight end, but he needs the toughness.. he's ducked a few passes in the middle this year, especially in the Pittsburgh game.

Decent talent at best, in my opinion. I've never had such a difficult time watching a favorite team of mine.

I agree about the playcalling, though. I think they should use Alex Smith's mobility more. He ran a shotgun spread/option offense under Urban Meyer in college, the Niners should take a page from the Broncos and use plays that Smith ran successfully, like Shanahan is doing with Cutler.

I havent been able to watch all their games but the 2 Ive watched in total (zona and Seattle) I saw smith too tentative to release on the long ball even to exploit blown coverages. I think either he doesnt trust his receivers, he isnt comfortable with the offense or he doesnt trust his accuracy. They need to threaten the deep ball even if he overthrows the route by 10 yards to pull the secondary off the underneath routes and the running game. A third year starting QB shouldnt be this timid and they should have worked some of these kinks out by now. These guys were my pick for their division this year and they somehow regressed from last year.
