WNCI played a version of "Hang on Sloopy" a few times yesterday (OH-IO was even on it). Anyway, can anyone tell me who sings this version??? Thanks!

According to WNCI on Friday, they said they were not going to make it available for download because the band recorded it specifically for them, and they did not want other stations playing it.

As somebody else mentioned, Saving Jane did this song specifically for WNCI and has not given their permission yet put it in WNCI's download section on their website.
Saving Jane has actually made quite a few songs specifically for WNCI but this is the only one I know of right now that they haven't allowed for download. The band is from Ohio and WNCI has given them a lot of airtime over the last year or two.
They have been playing the "Hang on Sloopy" song for about 3-4 weeks now. WNCI actually has a lot of remixed songs they have made for the Buckeyes. Friday morning about 7-10am is the best time to listen and catch those songs.

i believe they went/flunked out/withdrew from theosu. also of note, wnci is the highest rated top 40 station in the country. so a lot of you are lieing.
