I'm torn. I have a lot of family ties to Clemson, but Id rather our only loss to be the Champs.... As long as Bama and Big Game Bob dont do it. I think i'm ok with either Clemson or Sparty

Sparty - my reasons:
--Buckeyes only loss is to the National Champion.
--I just don't hate Sparty as I do TTUN -- i.e., in that "may they lose every game from now to infinity" way. Bucks and Sparty have a common enemy, and while that doesn't make us friends, it does make us partners in the fight against True Evil.
--Sparty win against Bama puts a strong nail in the SECSECSEC!!! coffin, and more nails are needed, looking at the way the rankings moved around this year, and at these final rankings.
--Loved the Sparty win over TTUN this year. Yes, I know it kept us out of the playoff, but I would not give up that magical moment -- odds are we'll be back in the NCG before long. But how often will we see such a glorious spectacle as that wondrous TTUN loss? It was the Halley's Comet of games.

Agreed, as long as Clemson doesn't win though I'm happy because....
OU wins and next year it's the last two champs playing each other...JT Barrett vs. Baker Mayfield, Stoops vs. Meyer...and I always enjoy seeing that weird Oregon Trails wagon come out

My thoughts on each team:
1. I typically don't mind Sparty, what with the whole commitment to trolling Michigan at every opportunity. But the more I think about it, the more I'm irritated by their running into the SE corner of our end zone and mocking our band and fans after the game they won in Columbus. And Cook's disrespect of Archie is just another instance of their bush league-ness that's getting under my skin.
2. Saban's a classless jerk who I could never root for. Plus, knowing that their not winning it all would probably cause Gary Danielson to break out in tears makes it even more of a no-brainer to root against them.
3. Dabo comes off as SEC-lite in terms of being a blowhard. And his ripping of the punter last night was Saban-esque in terms of being a classless jerk. Plus, I think they've got a loss or two if they actually played in a decent conference.
4. While "Big Game Bob" has been anything but for years, I guess I'll root for Oklahoma by default.

Researching the Magic!
I couldn't care less about the CFP this year. Oklahoma winning may help our SOS next year, but really it holds no interest because the game next year won't be between this year's teams.
