You ask, we answer. Sometimes we ask, others answer. And then other times, we ask, we answer.
Throughout the Ohio State football season, we will be asking and answering questions about the team, college football, and anything else on our collective minds of varying degrees of importance. If you have a question that you would like to ask, you can tweet us @LandGrant33 or if you need more than 280 characters, send an email HERE.
Week 1 is officially in the books, and man, does it feel good to have real-life, honest-to-goodness, actual college football action to talk about! We have been talking about it non-stop since Saturday here at Land-Grant Holy Land and on the Land-Grant Podcast Network.
But now it’s time to turn it over to you. In this week’s fan survey, we have two questions; one looking back at OSU’s 52-6 win over Akron and another looking forward to this Saturday’s game against Western Michigan.
So, go over the questions below, and then log your responses in the survey at the bottom of the article. We will publish the results before college football action kicks off on Saturday morning. And, if the answer that you want to give for one of the questions isn’t provided, feel free to write it in the comments.
I admit that I did try to limit the options on this question to positive surprises, because there probably could have been a few other contenders if we went negative, but we’re not going to do that on these always-positive pages of Land-Grant Holy Land.
I included Jeremiah Smith amongst the options because I felt like after he caught two touchdown passes in his first game — something that no Buckeye had done since David Boston in 1996 — I kinda had to, but I don’t really know how surprising it was. With all of the hype that he had before he came to Columbus, and then all of the praise that he has gotten from players and coaches alike, it seemed pretty clear that he was already on pace to become one of the top-five wide receivers in college football; and he played like it on Saturday.
Coming off of their 52-6 victory over the Akron Zips, the Buckeyes are not favored by nearly as many points in Week 2 as they were in the season opener. However, it is still a fairly sizeable total. The line opened at 39.5 points according to DraftKings Sportsbook, but the Broncos are coming off of a pretty respectable showing against the Wisconsin Badgers in Week 1. the Fighting Luke Fickells only beat WMU 28-14 in Camp Randall, so don’t expect Lance Taylor’s squad to be a pushover.
So, check out the point margins in the survey below, and let us know where you think the score will land on Saturday night.

Question 2: What will the margin of victory be in Saturday’s game against Western Michigan?
Coming off of their 52-6 victory over the Akron Zips, the Buckeyes are not favored by nearly as many points in Week 2 as they were in the season opener. However, it is still a fairly sizeable total.
