It has to be on the top 10 list for sure, if he gives up on that play I would venture to guess (and think most will agree) we don't win the title even though that was early on in the game. That, to me, is a play that exemplifies determination and a relentless desire to win. Mo was such an amazing player, it's a shame the trappings of success and fame temporarily derailed his life. I'm so happy he turned his life around the way he has and that he's being welcomed back into the Buckeye family. He did incredible things on the field, then incredibly dumb things off of it; but he did not let that define him. As a fellow Warren boy, Mo, Korey Stringer, and Boom will always hold a special place in my heart.
MoC made some huge mistakes obviously, but there are three things that really bring joy to my heart with his story. First, coming out of prison and just scraping at every inch to rebuild his life is incredible and inspiring. Second, Tressel never quit on MoC and was instrumental in his recovery...JT cared about the person over the player and he put words into action there and never gets mentioned by most for helping MoC after he would obviously never play for OSU again. Third, I love that MoC has come back to the OSU brotherhood and has been embraced with open arms. Such a positive for him and the program as well.
Not sure how I forgot to list that one. It took the rest of the half to unwrinkle my brain on that spin move, then the pure speed to not miss a beat after the spin. I was with our local alumni club and it was a look of disbelief more than celebratory at first.Easily in my top 10 plays
Some huge plays from 2006, in the only #1-vs-#2 matchup in The Game.
Beanie about 1:33 in. Teddy from TE at 1:52. Pittman at about 2:32. Eminem audio NSFW.
Was thinking of all of these plays when this thread started. Beanie's run was up there, absolutely critical at that point in the game and I can tell you C Deck was rocking. But same goes for Teddy's TD, so it's tough to differentiate. I saw the Pittman TD when I was walking down to the bathroom and was going nuts in the isle. Everyone kept chanting "#1 AGAINST THE RUN!" to ttun fans that obnoxiously chanted it all day before and during the game a fight almost broke out over it.
Really that game was just about as epic as could be, I don't think I'll ever be at another game like that one.
