Stanford beat UCLA 35-0 on Saturday and, in the process, gave the Bruins an education. "Their players really like to yap," said UCLA receiver John Monroe. "But their trash talk really isn't like anything I've heard before. There's a lot less cursing. It sounds almost like a foreign language." Stanford cornerback Donte White says he chose to quote from the selected works of W.B. Yeats on Saturday. "'One should not lose one's temper unless one is certain of getting more and more angry to the end'," said White, a physics major who says he dabbles in poetry. "Or: 'But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.' That sort of thing. Next game I think I'm going to go with some Kingsley Amis."

WTF is the deal with ESPN2? I go there and it says a game is on but they run ESPN news there instead? As soon as the game is over it turns back into ESPN2 again. Is there a new blackout rule or something? This didn't happen until this season?

Now the game is on. It was the same way with the Texas game. The game would be on, then they'd go to ESPN news for awhile. The entire 4th quarter of Texas' game wasn't shown here and the beginning of the Wake game wasn't on either.

But now that it is on can someone explain to me when Stanford changed their school colors to black and white? :roll2:

I've had some weird-assed shit like the Texas game was shown on ESPN 2 on my cable but not in HD...that channel went to ESPN News. Weird.

Anyway, go Stanford, win by more than 17 but score less than 60...total.

Then you should stop celebrating wins and counting off the dates on the schedule 'til R-Rod has the Wolverines bowl eligible. If you want Harbaugh, you'd hope R-Rod never wins another game.
