Ball State is a very solid football team. Nate Davis has a cannon for an arm and should go in the NFL draft within the first couple rounds. His stock has skyrocketed lately with them being ranked and being on ESPN a lot. I went to the same high school as the the short, stocky running back MiQuale Lewis. He broke the school record for TD's. That kid can just run the ball and has great vision. He is very hard to find. If they still had Dante Love they'd be even more dangerous.
Unfortunately they get a lot of flack from fans of major D1 teams (especially SEC, Big 12) 1. Because people don't know who they are, and 2. Because the are a mid major and play in the MAC. Granted they did not play a very tough OOC schedule this year (they usually do play at least one ranked team) but they handled WMU and won at CMU. They still deserve some respect. I'm betting at least half the B10 would fall on the road at CMU. They are 12-0 which is very impressive, I hope they win the MAC championship and win their bowl game! Go Cards!!

With Utah all but assured a BCS bid, if Boise wins its last game I would love to see 12-0 Boise State take on 12-0 Ball State. But given most of the bowl spots are already contractually obligated it probably can't happen.

That's the thing I think really sucks about it. We could have 3 undefeated teams from smaller conferences, if Ball State beats Buffalo and Boise State beats Fresno State. They all can't make the BCS? Fine. But they should be able to play on Ney Year's Day, or get to play a higher quality opponent, or be able to spend their holiday somewhere besides fucking Shreveport in front of an empty stadium...something. The bowl tie-in for every bowl basically kills any really good matchups like these teams could provide.
