Greetings

I am traveling to the USA for a 40th birthday football trip and will be attending the Michigan game. I can't tell you how excited I am, and have a couple of questions.

I will be arriving in Columbus on the Friday, is there much going on around the stadium on a Friday night? I could attend the NHL game in town, but would rather hang out with some football fans.

I would also appreciate any game day tips. I do like a beer! (Although I have an early drive back to Indianapolis on the Sunday for the NFL game!)

Thanks in advance, I can't wait to attend this game, it's a real honour.

James

First, you'll be pleased to learn that excellent beer is available here in Columbus; we've become something of a craft-brew mecca lately. Barley's Smokehouse, Columbus Brewing Company and The Elevator all make their own, and the Pint Room in Dublin has 100 taps with everything from IPAs to saisons. Plenty of other places closer to campus also have extensive taps, though no place as extensive as the Pint Room.

Friday nights will see nothing special at the stadium, but things get going early Saturday morning. Tailgating is half the fun, except probably on Michigan game day. The "skull session" before the game by the band is also a must-see, at least once. Have a great time, and travel safely.
