Here's how we're going to do this. An over under bet of 4 inches of snow (ie 3.99 will be less and 4.00 will be on the high side for these purposes)

We'll use this table for the official record-- (Month to date snowfall is .02 Inches) so since this is over 2 days, we'll check the total at for the end of the day Friday. (It is not supposed to snow tomorrow evening... but if it does it will count)

A HEAVY SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM EST FRIDAY.

AN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL TRACK ACROSS THE OHIO VALLEY TODAY INTO FRIDAY. IN RESPONSE TO THE UPPER LEVEL SYSTEM... A LOW PRESSURE CENTER AT THE SURFACE WILL DEVELOP OVER THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY TODAY AND TRACK NORTHEAST ACROSS OHIO TONIGHT.

SNOW WILL DEVELOP LATE THIS AFTERNOON...WITH AN INCH OR LESS EXPECTED BY SUNSET. THE SNOW WILL CONTINUE TONIGHT...WITH TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 5 INCHES EXPECTED BY FRIDAY MORNING.

REMEMBER...A HEAVY SNOW WARNING MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE IMMINENT OR HIGHLY LIKELY.

Anytime there is a winter storm advisory, or a forecast for heavy snow it is a gauranteed dusting that will barely collect on my windshield wipers.

I grew up with lake effect snow so heavy snow warning means 1-2 feet overnight to me.

Wins - The snowfall will seem like a dusting to you, but people there freak out. Hell, Columbus drivers cannot drive when it is nice out. That white stuff falling from the sky might as well be a completely unknown substance to most of them.

The combination of people freaking out and them not having the capacity to remove snow like your home town makes for a bad combination.
