Following the second win of the season, Ohio State still has major improvements ahead of conference play.
The Buckeyes came out of their Week 2 matchup with a win, 38-0, but even Cardale Jones noted afterward it was "ugly". The team didn't cover the spread and while they remain number one in the AP Poll, they're no longer unanimously atop the Top 25.
Urban Meyer faced the media who were loaded with questions about positions, players and what the team is focusing on ahead of Northern Illinois in Week 3. Meyer didn't hold back when talking about the weak spots from Saturday and how they intend to make changes before next weekends game.
"I don't know anyone else's schedule, I don't care," Meyer on coaches (cough, Bielema, cough) talking about other teams and their schedules.

Quarterback play
- Cardale Jones took the starting snaps in Saturday's game, but was replaced with Barrett halfway through the second quarter. Meyer says neither had a particularly good day, but some of that was due to, "extenuating circumstances regarding protection."
- Meyer says during practice, each quarterback gets reps.
- One of the most notable trouble spots for the Buckeyes was the offensive line. Just days after being touted during Meyer's weekly radio call-in show, the Slobs didn't show the same grit that earned them the "nasty" moniker in Week 1.
- The other team played "really, really hard" especially on defense.
- "We are an offensive line driven program," which Meyer notes makes the position more important. Meyer still has faith in his great OL coach, and won't put all the pressure for success on the position.
- Miller who rushed eight times for 57 yards and caught two passes for 16 yards against Hawaii opened up options for a struggling offense.
- The Silver Bullets are back and were about to keep the Rainbow Warriors from scoring, solidifying the shutout for the Buckeyes.
- Eli Apple, Garen Conley are playing "great", creating a strong secondary.
- On if there is competition between units, Meyer noted, "I hope so...that's part of being a good team."
- Meyer wishes he could get more freshman playing time noting that Justin Hilliard, Nick Conner and Mike Weber should see playing time soon.
- Players of the game: Defense - Darren Lee and Vonn Bell, Offense - Curtis Samuel and Ezekiel Elliott, Special teams - Terry McLauren and Gareon Conley.
- Kyle Berger hasn't been practicing due to a tweaked knee.
