Total Coverage.
  • Rampant incompetence. In the past few weeks, I've ordered three packages (from three seperate locations across the conus), all delivered by usps "first class" mail with delivery tracking. Two of them are now lost. That's packages #3 and #4 lost by these twits in the past six months. Lesson learned. From now on, when I order something online, I will insist on alternate means of delivery (ups, fedex, dhl, homeless man) or take my business elsewhere.

    Fucking useless, stupid, bumbling fucktard postal service.

    *edit* But I did get my three notices about the census. None of that stupid shit ever gets lost. *middle finger*
     
    Aside from the IRS, the USPS is the most bloated, poorly managed, un-accountable agency under the US Gov't.



    Sorry, almost forgot about FEMA. Point still stands. I dont use the post office for any shipping. Fedex has always been good to me and I see no reason to change.

    Like anything else, your service is a function of the individual provider. Our carrier delivered our one-week mail hold today, perfectly packaged by type and left on our front stoop in one of the plastic USPS boxes.

    The guy is a mensch. Nothing more need be said. :bow:

    I have no issue with my carrier. He's a nice guy, I've even chatted with him a few times. It's the mouth-breathing, inbred motherfuckers at the sorting facilities that I suspect are behind this. I'm starting to think the Denver sorting facility is a blackhole/haven for incompetent boobs. Both of my tracking numbers indicate the packages reached the Denver sort facility two weeks ago. Motherfuckers, I hope they all perish is a nasty mail room fire.

    And they were the very same in Waynesboro and reynoldsburg too.

    where I work, I have to deal with the USPS on a daily basis . I urge anyone not to use them when it comes to anything important. They are incompetent and lazy. Sending a certified letter through the USPS is a total crapshoot. Junk mail is the only reason they still exists. The number of times I've seen a priority or express package gone to the wrong address is staggering. You would think that e-mail and FedEx\UPS would have lighten their load so they could do a better job, but it has had the opposite affect. They simply don't care anymore.

    I'm about to jinx the fuck out of myself, but I've never had a single lost package/letter with the Postal Service, ever, and I'm 53 years old. I mail about 6-8 bills a month, including my mortgage check, and mail a $1,000 check each month to my Mom for her mortgage. All arrive on time.

    I'm so glad that the members here are mature. I would expect comments along the lines of "my package always arrives on time or early when I send it to your mom." That would be tastless though.

    It's been speculated that just stopping Saturday mail would completely solve any Postal Service money problems.

    "The U.S. Postal Service this week proposed reducing mail delivery from six days a week to five, eliminating Saturdays. The move comes after the Postal Service lost $2.8 billion last year amid declining mail volume as more people communicate and do business electronically. A Postal Service study found that ending Saturday delivery would save $3.5 billion annually."
