U.S. Army All-American Bowl merchandise

JMetro24

Newbie
I thought this might interest some of the fans on this board, but it looks like the folks at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl are now offering merchandise on the game's website, i.e. authentic and replica jerseys, shirts and even game helmets.

I have already contacted Mary McGuinness from SportsLink hospitality and apparently the authentic jerseys are $260 apiece with customization and s/h but she needs to receive a minimum of 6 jersey orders (not from a single person but as a whole) of the same color and style to place an order. $260 for a customized jersey is a bit pricey (they are manufactured overseas) but it could be a cool gift for a fan of the game.

I have an order for an authentic black East jersey pending on the minimum order so I am trying to generate some interest among fans to meet that 6-piece minimum. If you have any other questions please contact me ([email protected]) or Ms. McGuinness at Sportslink by phone (she is very kind and helpful and she needs to be contacted by phone to place an order).

Here are links to the merchandise site and Ms. McGuinness' contact information:

I'm not sure how my post constitutes spam but maybe I posted it in the wrong section. With all of the Buckeye players and recruits who have participated in the Army game, I thought a few fans might be interested in purchasing a jersey. In fact, I know someone who said he would be willing to purchase two TP #1 jerseys.

And Muck, I don't know what is so funny about my email address. I attended Villanova for a year before transferring to a state school and then Dayton for grad school, hence the name novastud.

OK, maybe it's not spam, and maybe I'm way off here, but shouldn't wearing that AA jersey be a privilege? It's a shame they are selling these to the public; it should be like the gold pants -- only the players should have them, IMO.

How is it any different than wearing an OSU jersey?

I knew someone was going to ask that. :) It's a high school all-star game, not really a college uniform. It seems like a special privilege for the kids to wear it. I don't know. I just don't see adults wearing that. It's kinda silly.

Always a pleasure to be of service.

Just between you and me, an adult wearing a college football jersey seems a little silly, too. :p
