Kobe Black is starting to concern Texas with his reluctance to jump in their class.

Cancelled his Texas visit last week, visiting Texas A&M this week.

People around Texas are saying Black seems to “actively be looking for alternatives.”



Black dropped a top five of Texas, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Oregon, and LSU back in August.

He proceeded to cancel his OV to LSU, and never scheduled one with Oregon.

Texas, Ohio State, and Texas A&M are his top three, and the only three schools he has officially visited.

Black has been a presumed silent commit to Texas, but we all know how much those are worth.

There's a family connection too as Jim Knowles recruited and coached his older brother Korie Black while at Oklahoma State.

Not overly optimistic about landing Black, but if there is a chance then you go for it. He can play safety/slot and we need that role filled in this class. Black would be a homerun there, so send the house with most of the class filled.

Black is the biggest longshot of any prospect to commit to Ohio State of any of the prospects on this month’s board. The story has remained the same with the Texas product, as the Longhorns remain the heavy favorite to land the five-star prospect. At the same time, he’s yet to commit to Texas. Black will visit Texas A&M this week and the Aggies could be the biggest threat to the Longhorns for Black.
