TV Pitch Man/Con Man Don Lapre dead

No offense, but I have to laugh at anyone who was dumb enough to invest money in "The Greatest Vitamin In the World"...

The tag line alone screams scam. Just a simple indication of how little people in this country can think once they hear something like "Work at home for $$$" or whatever bullshit they sold this scheme on.

I once called the number to see what their pitch was all about. I couldn't get anything out of the guy, he tried like hell to get me to sign up. I strung him along for about a half an hour. From what I've learned since is that they'd give you a website and for x amount of dollars they'd put you in the search engine so your site would turn up whenever someone searched for vitamins. I read some really bad stories about desperate people getting taken for all they had. I suppose that what he did was the only way for him to redeem his honor.

If I stole 52 million, I would be enjoying a fine lunch with the President and Chief Supreme Court Justice of Belize to discuss our joint business ventures and the fairness of the new anti-extradition laws that had been recently enacted.

You'd need more than that, 52 million isn't really much money these days.

Obviously you have never been to Belize? I think you could buy the entire country for $52,000,000.

I guess he decided he would rather be dead than deal with this guy. Can't say I blame him.
