(He should be happy after dismantling TTUN)

Hello everyone and welcome as I tell you my thoughts on what happened in the TTUN game and what could be in store for our Buckeyes as we go forward into the bowl season.

First, lets go back to last Saturday in Ann Arbor. Wasn’t that beautiful? Ohio State went into Ann Arbor and completely demolished TTUN in awesome fashion winning 42-13. It was a great sight watching thousands of sad TTUN fans leaving the big house with still over 8 minutes left to go in the game with their heads hanging low. It almost took all the sting out of what happened in Columbus the week before.

Ohio State went into the game with one purpose, to run the ball down TTUN’s throat. And they did just that. Zeke Elliott, a week after only gaining 33 yards on 12 carries the previous week, come out on fire. He finished the game with 30 carries, 214 yards and 2 TDs. He ran over, around, and through all TTUN defenders. Ohio State just lined up and said “Hey ttun, here it comes, try and stop us!” And they couldn’t.

J.T. Barrett also bounced back after a poor performance against Michigan State with a great all around game. He had 139 yards rushing, 3 TDs, on 19 carries. He also had 113 yards passing and 1 TD. Barrett combined for 252 yards of offense and 4 TDs. The type of game that we expect from J.T.

The defense also had it going. They completely shut down TTUN’s running game as they finished with only 57 yards on 25 carries for the game.

The Ohio State defensive line completely dominated the LOS the entire game. Not only did they shut down the run but TTUN’s QB Jake Rudock was constantly pressured. He was sacked twice and the last one ended his day.

Joey Bosa was on a mission to destroy TTUN. He showed everyone why he could be the #1 draft pick in the NFL draft in April if he comes out early. His last sack on Rudock ended the Senior QB’s day as Rudock left the field injured. Bosa later had a sick tip INT that he nearly took all the way back.

In the end is was a complete team victory. The kind of win we were expecting to see all year to be honest.

Now where does all this leave Ohio State? Unless a few miracles happen Ohio State is looking at an at-large big to one of the old BCS bowls, now called the New Year’s Six. I’ve seen a lot of projections that have Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl against either Houston or Notre Dame. Those matchups would be interesting. A few have Ohio State getting to the Rose Bowl if Michigan State beats Iowa badly.

Now a lot of fans are wondering if Ohio State could actually make it to the College Football playoff. They could but it would take a lot of help. Here is how Ohio State could actually make it back to the College Football playoffs.

First, North Carolina must beat Clemson. The ACC is perceived as the weakest Power 5 conference. Even with Clemson being #1 in the Polls, a loss to North Carolina in the ACC Championship most likely drops them out. UNC, even with winning the championship won’t have the resume to jump Ohio State.

The Big 10 title game has little effect on Ohio State. The loser is out.

Next, Florida upsets Alabama. This is a huge long shot. Alabama is the best team in the SEC, by far. The SEC is vastly overrated this year, but Alabama is legit. Florida has very little chance, but Ohio State must pull for them.

If those 2 upsets happen, Ohio State could very well be back in the playoffs.

Now, a lot of media has said Ohio State also needs Stanford to lose. Stanford would be the PAC-12 champion and the Pack-12 is considered a very strong conference. The playoff committee has said several times that conference championships hold a huge weight with them. Even with 2 losses, Stanford could jump Ohio State. So Buckeye fans also have to root for USC.

Its a big long shot, but crazier things have happened!

Till next time, chill!
