The three-star recruit, who'd previously accepted a scholarship offer to play for his father next season, has decided to walk on with the Wolverines instead, a member of the Michigan basketball staff confirmed.

The younger Howard recently completed his senior season at University School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The 6-foot-7 forward is the No. 348-ranked player in his class according to the 247sports composite. He committed to Michigan on Jan. 20.
