Denard sure has run scared this year. It's not just the scheme... he's tentative running a lot of Rich's plays too.
Right there he had a 3 yd wide hole on 2nd & 2, with only one potential tackler waiting just behind the hole... and he decided to stutter, and try and bounce it outside around 8-9 bodies, and by bounce, I mean stand still facing that direction
The streak of 3 & outs end with Hemingway... on a slow release.
Fitz continues to run well.

3rd & 8 at UM 43... Denard completes a strike to JR while pressured. Craig James pointing out the coaches getting him to set his feet despite the pass rush.

Borges is foolish with his gotcha playcalling and it gives Illinois new life. That garbage worked against Purdue, but won't work against real big ten defenses.
Motioning out of a power set (sending backs into a poor decoy bunch atop the formation), then dropping back to the five for an option call... towards the short side of the field... is RR-esque.
