    • I looked for a thread on this, and didn't feel like weeding through 6,463 of today's posts in the Texas Game thread. Did the whole country see the entire Tressel/Herbstreit interview (about 20 minutes long) right before the game? I was with the local alumni group at their usual sports bar, and they showed the entire interview, but we couldn't tell if it was a cable/satellite feed filler or if it was shown to everyone. If it was shown to the whole country, talk about an infomercial for the team and the university. We'll probably be having recruits' parents knocking down JT's house door with pre-signed LOIs in hand..
     
    saw it down here in Florida... ABC will be doing this series all season with coaches like JT, Brown, Weis, Caroll etc. It was on here at 2:00pm and was called "Coach of the Year". I turned it on 5 minutes into the interview... had I known it was on I would have recorded it and put it up on torrent.

    it was nice to see JT giving Siesta Key, FL some props :biggrin:.... he said if he could live anywhere in the world it would be here.

    Maybe we in the alumni group either missed it or subconsciously ignored it, but I don't recall seeing the Mack Brown portion. Damn, had I known they were going to show a 20-minute interview with JT before the game, I would've recorded it... :pissed:

    I recorded the show on my DVR, but I'm not equipped to move it to my hard-drive.

    The show was the first in a series that will focus on candidates for a new coach of the year award. This is an award that will have a place at the College Football Hall of Fame according to Keith Jackson.

    The purported historical relevance that this award will accrue over the coming years makes the nominations on the associated web-site actually relevant for once. This isn't just any on-line poll. Log on and support the best coach in college football. If you don't know who I mean, say three "Coach Tressel"s and sing Carmen Ohio four times.

    I am not sure of the programming schedule in Hawaii, but in OH in was on early in the afternoon around 2:00 pm. They had the interview with Mack Brown on first, and then Tress. I think they have them planned for all year long, and they will probably coincide the coach with the premier game of the day. That would have been cool if they showed it right before the game here. It was a great interview, and really showed who Tressel is.
