It's the '70s again. I'm not yankin' your chain.
When Ohio State got its doors blown off by LSU, it had a familiar feel to it. It wasn't just a flashback to the game against Florida the year before.
This was Woody and Bo stuff. To the max.
The '70s were a time of bad fashion, disco music and Big Ten football letdowns.
Either Michigan or Ohio State would win the Big Ten and go to the Rose Bowl. Usually, it was Ohio State. Woody Hayes would prepare the players by locking them in a monastery. The Pac-10 champs, usually some dudes from UCLA or USC with surfboards under their arms, would run around them like they were a Maypole.
A lot of that stuff is going on now.
