Action / Drama:
1. House - among the best writing and filmography on TV
2. Chuck - fun, spy action comedy
3. Fringe - unique approach (closest thing we've had to X-Files), great visuals & suspense.
4. Flash Forward - unique premise in an era saturated with rehashed dramas and reality shows. Too bad it was cancelled :(
5. Burn Notice - perfect summer escape. No it's not realistic, ORD.
Honorable mention: Psych (with Monk gone, this is the most enjoyable detective show on TV)
Hate:
1. america's infatuation with multiple installments of the same show, for multiple shows no less
2. V
3. Criminal Minds' twisted side - really like the show, but it goes a bit too far to let you experience a serial killer.
4. American Idol's prominance with non teenage girls (yes I'm looking at you Columbus ESPN radio)
5. NBC for watering down Conan and then firing him for it. You enjoying
those identical ratings with Leno?
Comedy Top 5:
1. Community
2. 30 Rock - Still the best 'spit out your drink' lines on TV. Community is fresher comedy, but not better.
3. Modern Family - Great writing, characters, comedic timing.
4. Big Bang Theory - qwirky nerd humor.
5. The Simpsons - The only cartoon comedy worthy of a paycheck on Sunday nights.
Honorable mention: Curb your Enthusiasm (tremendous, I just don't have HBO), Futurama & Conan returning!
Hate:
1. The Office (such a sad shell of its once peerless self)
2. Family Guy - simply not that funny, with very few exceptions.
3. Cleveland Show - Fox really needs 3 shows with identical voices & writing style
4. Tyler Perry - Anything he writes is garbage (note: he stole Four Weddings)
5. Scrubs - like #1, it's painful how far this show has fallen
